Dog's eye swollen and lots of pus.
Posted to:
Health & Grooming
My dog Princess, just today, her eye is just oozing with pus, well, all around the eye, I guess, and the inner eye is blood red. My other dog Chewy and her have been fighting lately, and I can't tell if maybe Chewy may have bitten her in the eye, or maybe she got bit by a spider or something... has...

And a blessedly cooler day. Did NOT get the promised thunderstorms, but the temps are lower and the humidity is a bit lower too. Thank goodness. Poached is not a good look for me.

Anyone hear of such a thing.... my sister is 74, has back problems and broke her knee so wears a leg brace temporarily until she finishes therapy. She is a DRAMA QUEEN in the largest sense of the word. Loves and demands attention no matter how she gets it....so plays every thing to the fullest. Like...

Oh my, hot and sticky here yet again. I hate the afternoon headaches that the heat causes. I soooo am hoping for the thunderstorms they have predicted, just to cool this mess off and give us some relief.....and rain of course. The garden would like some natural water! Tyler really seems to be struggling...

Happy Birthday, Coke!
Posted to:
News & Entertainment
Coke's sixth birthday was last Saturday. I was at a tournament in Ohio with my GSDs so Coke enjoyed a (HOT) weekend with DH. After it cooled off (to the mid-90s) this week I got Coke to sit still for a raw hot dog and took his birthday pictures. For his birthday we installed a window AC unit in our...

Riley arrived with a very short trim, but her ears were left LONG. Her hair is not thick, and they looked straggly, so I trimmed them. I know there is a funny tuft sticking out on the right, can't...

Hello. This is my first time posting and really hoping to get some feedback since I'm at my wits end. I have a 5 month old Bernese Mountain Dog. He is full of energy and healthy in every way EXCEPT chronic diarrhea. He started having the diarrhea 2 months ago when I started switching him over to...

Everyone must be busy or sleepy. :) I'm a little of both. I bought a new dog bed. It arrived yesterday and is a bolster type bed. It's sized for the big dogs. Gabby decided it was her bed. She plopped down, stretched out and rested her head on the side and wouldn't move. lol Finally she got...

Please Welcome Riley to her New Home!
Posted to:
News & Entertainment
Riley has joined our family! She is a 6 year old poochon, or bichon poo - a bichon miniature poodle cross. I am her THIRD guardian THIS YEAR. She is never going to have to adapt to a new home again. She has the slim poodle body, and makes my bichons look chunky ha haaa. We started out in the back yard...

California Natural Grain Free Chicken final thoughts

Well... things were going great with Lexi and Darby (bichons, darby with the yeasty issues) while on this food. Darby's yeasties cleared up, even the tough lip fold ones- for a while. Last couple of weeks she's back to rubbing and scratching at her face and her lips are red and yeasty again,...

Choosing A Dog
Hey all - I was just curious if anyone could help me figure out what my dog is, lol. Not that it matters - she's a sweet girl that I adore, but I'm just curious to see what other dog lovers think. :) She's 2 years old, weighs 32lbs, and loves to herd things. [IMG]http://i46.photobucket...

DH and I have been together since we were 18 and got married when I was 25, so we have been together for 12 years. We have been through a lot together including the...

Interceptor Shortage
Posted to:
News & Entertainment
I have been searching everywhere for Interceptor for my 2 small Poms and haven't had much luck until I went to a site in Canada. I thought they were advertising Interceptor as they describe it as Interceptor Brown 2-10lbs which certainly would seem to be what I currently use. Upon reading further...
