    Thursday chat

And a blessedly cooler day.  Did NOT get the promised thunderstorms, but the temps are lower and the humidity is a bit lower too.  Thank goodness.  Poached is not a good look for me.

At least in Michigan it is.  It actually feels good to have a rainy day.

Not much going on here.  Finally starting to feel like I am catching up with work.

We are heading up north this weekend.  My In-Laws sold their monster of a house FINALLY.  They have had it up for sale since before Riley was born (basically the start of the crash in the market).  They now have to be out within in a month.  So the invited us up for there for 1st dibs on everything before the sell it in a massive estate/garage sale.  She's even getting rid of her top of the line pans - welcome home just like new $500 saute pan!  Whoo Hoo.  I think their plan is to rent a house/apartment for a year while they have something smaller and not on the lake built.  I feel a little sad, because it's such an amazing place, but hey, I have don't have to heat it!

    Take care everyone!

That sounds like a good deal, Lisa. First dibs on quality stuff. That kind of garage sale I could do.

My foot hurts more from the debriding than my butt does from the injection.

We are glad for the rain here, too.

AWESOME!!!  What luck!  Think about things you need for your house and then ask her "hey, do you have any....xyz" - something maybe she wasn't thinking of getting rid of but will now, just to not have to pack & potentially store it!  yaay!

Much cooler here, too, thank goodness.  I actually turned the AC AND the fan off last night! Tonight is supposed to be even cooler so we can open the windows and get some cool sucked in.  There's been too many nights when the outside was hotter than the inside at 12am.

I can't believe I'm thinking of chocolate at 8:45am... this is a true sickness!

    Have a great day, all!

Nuh uh! I'm still resisting getting a Dove dark bar, and we are in the same time zone. Stick out tongue

Nice one Lisa!! Also what a kind offer you made to Marty! Angel

Still July here so still hot & humid LOL  At least when we are out on our morning walks we always meet lovely people.

I think upping B's thyroid dose is starting to show - he seems exceptionally spritely this morning  and dealt with the heat/humidity better (it was 80* at 5:30). The only down side as his mischief has increased too Stick out tongue I am just glad he's more himself, I had been worried for months that something wasn't right but his T4 had checked out OK a few months back, low but OK.

I am thoroughly enjoying the Open Championship at Royal Lytham St Anne's. I played there after the last time it hosted the open and there is something wonderful about seeing a course you've played on TV. Many great memories of our day there.

Still nothing re the contract and the headhunter seemed frustrated with the company yesterday so who knows

Off to the eye doctor shortly so best get going

I'm planning on a trip to Target this afternoon.

Is my life exciting or what ???

Nuthing wrong with thinking about chocolate at ANY time.....I'm just saying.

Deb, Target is exciting. I'm waiting my required 30 minutes after allergy shots now, then I'm off to the grocery store to get a few things. I'm grilling tonight. Rosemary Ranch chicken kebabs. I guess they have skewers or whatever at the store, right? Or should I go to Target for that? This nurse I had today is the winner at giving shots. I didn't even know she did the first one until she took it away. She also wins for being quick. She did 4 in less than 47 seconds. I know because I was 47 seconds into the song I was listening to, and I started it when she took them out of the fridge or whatever they store them in.

Jen:  they'll probably have the wooden skewers you can use.  Just remember to soak them for at least 30 minutes before using them.

Deb - I could literally spend hours in Target.

BTW - cut Riley's hair last night.  I think I went a little short.  It was uneven and then I tried to even it up and yeah, well, good-bye 4 inches.  It was getting crazy long (like middle of her back) and always in her way.  Now it's all pretty much one length and to her shoulders or a little higher.  She loved it and was prancing around the house flicking her hair around like a shampoo model.  We'll see today once it's dry LOL

We've got the USGA Junior Amateur Championship going on right now in our area.  Not a whole lot of action going to watch it, though.

I'm going to have to walk to Lindt at lunch time.  I think their construction is done so the retail store is open again... I THINK.  cchooooooccolate!!

I think that's what must've happened when I was young and my mom tried to cut my bangs. I remember her using scotch tape to hold them down. Ahhh...the memories Big Smile. I'm very envious of all the cool stuff you're going to score this weekend. I'm one of those geeks that gets super excited about really nice pots and pans. Geeked

Karen - I hope you get some good news soon and good luck at the eye dr.

It's actually cloudy here this morning and I wouldn't be surprised if we got a few sprinkles. Very unusual but nice for us. Warming up to the high 90s this weekend, so I'll relish this while it lasts.

I'm a fan of Target myself and can spend a long time in there.

That makes me sad - the kids deserve some fans!!

Eyes are fine - better than the vast majority of people my age hahahaha love it when young whippersnapper docs say "people your age" LOL You know you are over the hill. No glasses for me yet and the eyes are in excellent health. I do worry that I take all these asthma meds that say they can bother your eyes

Now if my vision would clear up! It is better but still not great from the dilation

I did my hair nice today since I was driving in rather than riding my bike. Then I forgot my umbrella and walked 5 blocks in the rain. Guess whose hair is a curly frizzy mess instead of being styled! But hey, I can hardly complain. At least it is raining. That is a miracle in itself.
