Hello,I am new to the board. I wanted to ask about my 7 year old Yorkie. She has a problem with abdominal distention. It is called ascites and it was determined that it was from losing proteins. Choosing A Dog
Bailey is my first mixed breed (well that I know for sure, my other dog looked like had a bit of lab in her other than just cocker.) Anyway, I am wondering if anyone else here owns a cockapoo. Also, I sometimes feel as if there is a stigma to me because I own a "designer doggie" and I did not...

Am I a mean mommy?
Posted to:
Training & Behavior
So my best friend Kim has the cutest Jack Russell, Minnie and she has wanted to let Minnie play with my Rory for the longest time. While Rory has yet to EVER show any dog aggression she had also never played with such a small dog. Minnie is small for her size but lives with two large dogs and as Kim...

A few behavioral issues
Posted to:
Training & Behavior
My Mini Poodle has some issues that I hope someone can give me some ideas on. 1. When she eats she puts her nose to the food (but not touching it) then puts her head down as if rubbing her nose on the carpet to get something off her nose. Its a bit long and dark but here is a video of her last night...

animal essential herbal multi-vitamin

So, when I went to get Ella's food today, I asked about a calcium supplement. She had sold out of hers, but she said that I could use this multivitamin and it would have enough calcium in it. Does anyone use this for their dogs? She said it's good to use when feeding raw.

Okay, Buddy is my first male dog and I have some questions about the male anatomy. I took Buddy outside to pee after being gone for a few hours. He rolled over on his back in the grass and was stretching and rubbing his back. I noticed that the tip of his penis was red. Not red irritated, but like something...
