Blowing Coat-Energy Level?
Posted to:
Health & Grooming
My dog is blowing coat. He is a white shepherd/husky mix. He is 2 years old so I am not surprised by the amazing amount of fur that he is losing. [ ] I am noticing he has a bit less energy. He also goes to day care a few days a week and they have commented that he is not as playful and just not himself...

Red eyes
Posted to:
Health & Grooming
Sorry I have another question in this category. My five month old Basset Hound's eyes get red as if she has allergies. I saw this every other basset hound I have ever seen, is this an allergy they are all susceptible to or just a common thing for them? Thank you for any help you can provide...

Hey all, I have a 6 month old siberian husky/GSD mix and she is starting to act weird! Her new thing is to show her teeth and bark at us, whenever we come in or someone else comes in. It doesn't seem like she wants to be mean or anything more like she wants to play. She also nudges you with her...

looking for a good clipper
Posted to:
Health & Grooming
Hi! I am the proud owner of a bichon and wheaton terrier. I have a friend who grooms for a living, so I learned how to clip the dogs on my own... by using his expensive clippers. I purchased a pair on my own, Andis - PM-1 Pet Clipper.. and they were horrible. I'm willing to spend some money... but...

How often should nails be clipped?
Posted to:
Health & Grooming
I've read from previous posts anywhere from weekly to every couple of months. Is there a guideline or does it depend on the dog? We take Boomer on walks daily so his nails I assume get somewhat of a 'filing' when walking on the sidewalk and ashphalt.

Hi. I'm sort of new here, a returning old member actually. (I re-registered when my old login didn't work anymore, I;d been away for awhile). In October, my (now ex) and I adopted an English Bulldog (mix) from the pound. She's almost 2 now. I have yet to enroll her in obedience lessons...

If you had 20 dogs
Posted to:
Nutrition & Exercise
and you "couldn't afford" to feed them a good food, why do you have have 20 dogs? Or am I completely wrong to think that, if it gets to the point where you can't even afford good food for the ones you have, then you should stop keeping more dogs and care for the ones you have now...

I was just wondering what kind of treats your dogs like! Mine always likes those little puperoni and bil jac liver treats. what do you treat your dog with? p.s.: i think bil jac is not a good brand but it's just treats, it's not like a few every once in a while will hurt them! -Melaney

I just adopted a puppy from a shelter to help me deal with my grief. she is a german shepherd mix, 4 months old. [link http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/14360161/]http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/14360161/[/link] These puppies probably had a pretty sad life to begin with and it's horrible that they had to die this way.

Ginger's first whole rabbit
Posted to:

Somebody was asking me about the whole rabbits in another thread. Can't quite remember, but I did say I'd check back in with an update. Well, Ginger had her first go at the whole rabbit tonight. It was de-furred, and looked like maybe de-eared as well. It had a skin-like covering, but I don't...
