We found out he has giardia again. Jeez! This is the second time for ghardia, but the third parasite in the seven weeks I have had him. Ugh, I am so sick of this. Unfortunately, I think this is something that I will have to deal with often since we live in an apartment complex with others that don't...

Sleeping arrangements? Need advice
Posted to:
News & Entertainment
Hi everyone! I have a question about sleeping arrangements. Here is my problem. When we got Bubbles, she slept on our bed for the first two nights. My husband got tired of having her sleep in between us. He decided to put her in my son's room on his bed. That has been working well for the past few...

Pictures from ill-fated trip
Posted to:
News & Entertainment
These are some pictures of whinny from our recent backpacking trip that went awry (see http://forum.dog.com/asp/tm.asp?m=124928 in case you missed the story!) These were taken before we found out we'd be walking an extra 15 miles that day: The area we were hiking through had suffered a massive...

Behaviour question on new MinPin
Posted to:
News & Entertainment
Keela has finally settled in enough that some of her quirks are beginning to show up. Hopefully, this behaviour she is exhibiting is just that - a quirk - and not a problem. She is kicking her hind legs out, like some dogs will do after going to the bathroom, except she does hers all the time, not after...

Fearful
Posted to:
Training & Behavior
My lab puppy who is usually pretty outgoing turned into a scaredy cat this morning. He was shaking in the backyard and was afraid of garbage cans on our walk. This is very new for him. He's fine when we go to obedience classes with other dogs. I would think that environment would be more frightening...

puppy eating his poop
Posted to:
Training & Behavior
I have a 4 month old Shitzu/Yorkie puppy. What is the best way to get him to stop eating his poop? Also how do I start crate training him. Right now he is in a pen in the living room. He sleeps until 5:30 am then goes crazy jumping up and down, barking and generally tearing up his pen. I use a puppy...

HELP!! Food Related??
Posted to:
Nutrition & Exercise
I know people say that when their dogs are on a particular food that doesn't agree with them, they get really bad eye boogers. Well my boy has been on Canidae strictly now for a couple of days. He woke up this morning with his left eye bloodshot and dischargy. He was just fine when he went to bed...
