These were taken before we found out we'd be walking an extra 15 miles that day: The area we were hiking through had suffered a massive forest fire in 2000, so it is all new growth taking over old burned trees. very pretty, and spooky. I had never seen anything like that before.   Whinny looks like she's having a good time. Of course that was before she had to walk 17 miles.
