OMG you are going to love this! Martha Stewart bites her new dogs

I'm pretty sure if i saw anyone bite there dog anywhere, I would know they had a few things wrong with them, ecspecially the lip! poor thing[]!!! I sometimes hear (as a joke) that if a dog bites you should bite them back. hello, wouldn't that make them more aggressive!!!

I agree with you. Shadow bit my hand once, (my fault). I've never bit him back nor do I hit him. Nor, has he ever bitten me again (I learn quickly sometimes.)

Martha might be "a great animal lover" but even I know more about dogs than she does - and that's not saying a whole lot! I happened to catch a show a while back where she was featuring English Bulldogs. She had a guest on who was trying very hard to explain the breed characteristics and how fagile they were healthwise etc. Of course Martha just kept interupting and going on about how absolutely adorable and funny these dogs were - blah, blah, blah! The poor guest kept saying "yes they are cute, but they are not for everybody. They need" and Martha would cut her off mid sentence with some other inane comment. I was so mad by the end of the show I wanted to scream!!!!! I just knew that people were going to run out and purchase their own Bulldog, not knowing anything except how cute they were. It would have (and should have) been such a great opportunity to educate potential owners about the breed. I have the same problem with most celebs who pass themselves off as great dog lovers yet know nothing about responsible dog ownership! It's all fluff and no substance.

Hmmm...sounds like a good way to lose your face.

Martha is an complete idiot. I can't believe Martha aka Miss Priss would take the chance of getting dog hair or slobber in her mouth.

I know this biting your dog thing exists in a training book somewhere....together with the alpha roll.  I had a neighbor years ago (say 14 or so) who bought a Samoyed from a pet store.  She soon was questioning the credentials of the breeder and this little girl was REALLY small for a Sammy and a pretty challenging puppy.  My friend was trying to educate herself and got some book that was in vogue at the time that included these practices and she did try them.  She was not that successful and the dog was more than she could handle and was eventually rehomed. 

I knew there was a reason I've never been impressed with Martha. [][]

Not that I think this is a good thing to do but, when I was a little girl I was sitting and I guess talking to one of the lahasa apsos (I am sure I spelled that wrong!) we had and she bit me. I got so angry I bit her back! I find it funny now (I mean I really didnt hurt her or anything) but, I am lucky I didn't get hurt! Anyway here is what makes it more funny. I was going for my first confession at church and I confessed "The dog bit me and I bit her back."

 
Just want to make my self clear. I did not exactually bite the dog because I thought it would help or anything. I was just thinking "you bite me I bite you back!" I think it was very funny that I used it for confession ( I was about 7) but, I am lucky I didn't really get hurt!

I will say that the funniest thing I've heard is when my sister's roomate's dog peed on her--she peed right back on the dog to show him who was boss. Have you ever heard that before? I laughed so hard. She says it worked--dog hasn't peed on her again and he listens to her a lot better.

But when she grabbed Francesca's upper lip, she pinched the tone in her voice and the illustration, didn't sound like she nibbled, it was meant to hurt the puppy! Wonder how many morons that watched that show will be bitting their dog's lips.
