Grady is limping. Yesterday he was a super snuggle bug & I just thought he was trying to make me feel better. I had a bit too much fun the night before. This morning I noticed he was limping & favoring his left front paw. I am worried about my boy. I gave him one of his favoritest things (the...

Yesterday I noticed Logan was discharging out of his left eye a little more than normal, but otherwise seemed fine. I just watched it and said to myself if it's doing this tomorrow I'll call the vet. Well it got a lot worse this morning. It was sealed shut with eye boogies this morning and when...

Well, you folks may have seen my old hometown in the news on President's Days. Part of the local oil refinery exploded causing some major damage to the surrounding area. We live about 30 miles away in the middle of nowhere, but, being Valentine's weekend & a newly-wed couple, had left my...

Sniper posing with mama
Posted to:
News & Entertainment
Have you ever walked by to see your dog lying comfortably on your bed, soaking in the sun, gazing out the window and had that urge to join them? That was Sniper this afternoon, so I decided to join her for a quick 10 minute "dog nap". Of course, after relaxing, I had to ruin her moment by getting...

Clogged anal gland symptoms?
Posted to:
News & Entertainment
What are the symptoms of a clogged anal gland? My cairn is a little "puffy" in that area and one side seems thicker. Nothing seems to be bothering him, and I thought a clogged anal gland was bothersome. I keep him trimmed in the area as well. Ideas?

Hey! I used to be on here a ton, and will be again once my wedding (next month) stops hogging my time. I recently found out I will be moving to Va. Beach area... probably Chesapeake. I am thinking of switching Tootsie to the blue buffalo Fish and Sweet Potato. She is currently on EP Holistic Fish and is doing fine, but where I get the EP has raised their prices. A lot. What are you opinions?

Who pays for a dog walking service?
Posted to:
News & Entertainment
I'm going to be traveling a lot with my new job and will need to get a dog walker. How many of you pay a dog walker and where did you find one? I have an interview set up with a company that is bonded and insured so that is good. It can add up though at $17 per visit.

CT a food obsessed dog?
Posted to:
Training & Behavior
The main thing that has held me back from trying clicker training with Penny (apart from the fact that she's already wonderfully behaved and has spent all her life learning to communicate in other ways) is that she is thoroughly food obsessed. So whenever food comes out, she gets fixated on that...
