    Ideas?... and good thoughts? (Sera_J)

Yesterday I noticed Logan was discharging out of his left eye a little more than normal, but otherwise seemed fine.  I just watched it and said to myself if it's doing this tomorrow I'll call the vet.

Well it got a lot worse this morning.  It was sealed shut with eye boogies this morning and when he is "opening" it, it's almost closed and that pink part of their eye is way too much of his eye at the moment, not sure how else to explain that.  It doesn't look good.

I called the vet, and am panicking. I'm leaving for the vet in just a few minutes, but thought I'd ask if anyone can tell me it's nothing, just an eye infection, have it healed up in no time.  And some good thoughts, that'd be fantastic.

    I appreciate anything!

No words of wisdom, honey, but if you need me, text me and I'll call you.

Sending good thoughts that it is just an eye infection and some antibiotic ointment will clear it right up!  It does sound like a little conjunctivitus (like human pink eye) - so hopefully it is nothing serious...

corneal abrasion? Sandy's eye looked like that when she had one. Healed up fine! Good thoughts!

No ideas, just good thoughts that everything is trivial.

Thanks so much guys, i'm on my way out the door (had to change, was gonna go skiing this morning, TONS, like 30" of fresh powder on the hills!) ... you've helped calm me down, it's probably nothing, but to see it go from not good (this morning, when we got up) to really ugly, in like 45 min. I was PANICKING.

Ok, I'm out, thank you for the good vibes, hopefully I'm home with some cream and him feeling better in an hour. And maybe then i can stop crying and go skiing (using humor..... crying thru tears, I'm a mess!)

    THANK YOU!!!!

ETA - I changed to ski clothes when i first got up... and noticed his eye when feeding breakfast, after breakfast and potty I noticed it was worse.  I didn't plan on going skiing once i realize his eye was not well.

Sending good thoughts for it to be nothing serious

I hope it's nothing serious! Ole and Sofia and I are sending healing eye/tooth vibes to you! Sometimes a bad tooth can cause eyes to look bad, too. Keep us posted! HUGS!

Oh Lani - I'd be panicked too but I'm sending good vibes that it's nothing serious. I'll be anxiously waiting to see a post from you.

Oh, Lani, I'm late as usual.  It sounds like it's an eye infection to me but I'm no expert.  Please give Lo some kisses from me & know that I'm sending good vibes for both of you.

Sending smooches to Logan!  Hope it's something minor and temporary and that his momma's good nursing skills will have him back to romping around in no time.

Thanks so much for the good vibes everyone!  They're working.

OK, so he's got a scratch to the cornea.  She said she's glad I rushed him in as it was causing him pain and hadn't yet got infected.  So, 2 "ribbons" of eye goop twice a day for 7-10 days.

She's also referred me to an Ophthalmologist, so I have to make an appointment for him to see him.

He's supposed to have an e-collar on, but i took it off. It was just more than pathetic, running into everything and scaring Nikki... I took it off and am just watching him carefully.

I'm happier, but still not pleased. If he doesn't respond to the meds we'll have to try another type, so we'll have an appointment in 3 days. Meantime i'm supposed to keep him quiet and out of the sun.

Yeah. Right.  LOL He's a weim puppy, while I'm working miracles I might as well create world peace  LOL

Thanks again guys, I really, really, really appreciate the support from you.  It helped more than i can say.
