Poor Pirate - this Monday we went to all home made. I had Mordanna do a recipe for him, and it's all things he's had before, but he's thrown up Tuesday and this morning, plus a little diarrhea. He's FEELING fine, and still eating, but I feel so bad for his tummy! Did anyone else's...

Well my dogs approve of lamb ribs..
This is the first raw meal I've ever fed that included any bone (though I have given marrow bones as chews) but I decided I needed to bite the bullet. All things considered Ben has eaten crazier things, and Lumos has been eating lamb ribs at his breeder's for weeks. Both boys LOVED them, and...

What do you feed in a pinch?
This isn't fully dog related, but it does deal with nutrition. I tend to by dog and cat food once a month...several bags to last for several weeks, which is expensive but more convenient for me. By this point of the month, I'm getting towards the low-end of the supply, so naturally, it would...

Kibble "topper" recipes
What is your kibble topper recipe? I am currently feeding sojos original recipe again, but they changed the formula somewhat and now my 2 bichon girls in particular have the same face staining and yeasty feet/lip fold that they do on kibble. So I was thinking of trying Innova low fat out for them...

Crock pot recipe sharing
I'm just discovering my crock pot really, but I have 2 favorite recipes already.[p] Pot roast: big hunk of well trimmed meat, browned, with about a 1/4 bottle of red wine. Cook some chopped onions with about 1 tbsp butter and 3 tbsp flour -cook around 3 mins and add to pot (this will thicken the...

Misc. Group, please explaine
Can somebody explaine to me the miscellanious (spll?) group for the AKC, I mean like how does it work. I am really interested in the Xoloitzcuintle but Tracy tells me they are in the miscellanious group and she doesn't know how they get the points and so on. I don't know if I make sence but I...

Describe your raw feeding pattern.
I'm planning to start raw soon, have done the research, and have decided that I am going to go with a prey-model raw diet. Just curious to know what other raw feeders do. Do you feed a certain type of diet (Barf/Billinghurst/prey-model/other?)? What types of meat do you feed? Do you personally grind...

Scout's progress or Agility brag????
This will be Scout's second AKC trial but will be his third trial he has been to. First two trials (AKC & USDAA) we only managed to finished ONCE in each of them. The goal this time around, finish more than once. He is a terrier and their work ethic isn't the same as a BC. The herding breed...

"Heel" (Stationary v.s. Moving)
Working with my own little one right now the most (yes I'm a little biased at the moment... hehe) In your opinion, what is more important to learn first: "Forward Heel" moving "Heel" / "Halt" stationary, proper positioning I spoke with an evaluator...

Best fish oil brand?
I've been noticing lately that Penny's coat is a bit dry and dandruffy. It's probably the cold temperatures we're STILL getting up here in Manitoba. Anyway, I want to get her a fish oil supplement, but I was wondering what the best kind/brand is? Thank you!

She ate a whole fish
We were out fishing today and Maya managed to get a hold of a very small bluegill. She ate the whole thing and seemed to enjoy eating it while she played keep away with us. Should I be concerned? Should I induce vomiting?

Heeling Help with Strauss Please :-(
I'm having an issue with Strauss that I don't know how to correct. He's constantly barking during his routine (if he's not barking, he refuses to heel). At different areas of practice he's fine...we get to a trial and he won't show. He is either excused for excessive barking or...

Canidae new formula causing issue with diareha anyone???
My boxer has been on it for over a year and has been fine. Here in RI all the stores seem to be out of most of the Canidae for a few weeks and we didn't know why. Possibly they were transitioning the new formula into the stores here?? I've googled and have seen a lot of dog's with the same...

Speaking of Crock Pots...
I need to get a new one. The one I have is a little too small if I want to cook for a group, and one of the "feet" has fallen off and become lost, so I consider it a bit of a hazard. I've heard all kinds of things about this one cooks too hot, that one has flimsy knobs, etc. Can you guys...

Assessing drive in a puppy?
How do you do it?! The pup in question is a 4.5mo ACD pup and appears to LOVE toys of all sorts, but I'm having trouble determining if that is just puppiness or actual drive. This boy is currently a foster but if he has the right drives he may stay as a SAR prospect. I'm sure he has what's...
