Canidae new formula causing issue with diareha anyone???

My boxer has been on it for over a year and has been fine. Here in RI all the stores seem to be out of most of the Canidae for a few weeks and we didn't know why. Possibly they were transitioning the new formula into the stores here?? I've googled and have seen a lot of dog's with the same issues once this formula changed.

He he is drinking so staying hydrated, wants to eat & lips are pink but yesterday and today stool is very light brown and just liquidy.

I boiled chicken and rice for him tonight..anyone hear anything?

I don't feed Canidae, but have heard the same thing from others who are/were feeding it.

I used to feed Canidae, but have since stopped using it in my rotation right now because they changed their formula, and not for the better.

I was feeding Canidae ALS regular formula for a long time...then Apollo started to poop a ton a day and get the runs or mushy poops on and off.

I had the same issues with canidae. Their formula change was not for the better and it really peeved me off because the pricing went up too. I just ended up changing to a raw diet. I got tired of dealing with all the issues with dog food

Thank you for the responses. I stopped Canidae and feel they will be loosing a lot of customers because of this. I can't feed raw but will be looking into a better food Wellness or EVO. I have a bassett hound who was on Canidae too with no pooping issues and I pulled her off it too.

Canidae had a pretty good thing going I'm not sure what their goal was here. I'm thankful (fingers crossed) that what is going on is only because of a different formula.

I'm so glad I read this post because I just bought a bag of Canidae (after not using it for a while) and I have 3 dogs with diarrhea. Previously we used it and had no problem but now, not only do we have loose poop, but I have dogs that don't even seem to like it much.

Several on my big golden retriever forum had tswitc fomrCanidae for this very reason. Some had used it for years, then the change in formul and their dog, dogs in some cases, developed very runny stools, gas, digestive upsets. A few reported their dogs/dog had no problem In some case of mulitply dogs, some had problems, some didn't6.

Yup, my dogs couldn't handle the formula change. Their poop was runny, but also they became VERY itchy. I was dissapointed, we had fed Canidae for a long time, I also recommended it to several friends, then they go and change their formula.
