Mary Strauss at DogAware makes the following dosage recommendation:

Vitamin E should also be given whenever oils are supplemented (even small amounts are adequate, but highest recommended dosage would be 100 IU per day for small dogs, 200 IU for medium-sized dogs, and 400 IU for large dogs).

And Lew Olson from B-Naturals recommends the following:

    Vitamin E minimum dosage:
    0-25 pounds - 50-100 IUs
    25-50 pounds 100-200 IUs
    50-75 pounds 400 IUs
    75- 100 pounds 400-800 IUs

And here's a neat site I found when looking up the Vitamin E dosages -- The Canine Vitamin Advisor.  It asks a few questions (size of dog, age, male or female, etc.) and then gives specific supplement recommendations.

Excellent info Myra! I'll have to save that one.  One caveat - NRC recommends no more than 400 mls of supplemental vit E per day for any size dog.
