Sandy and I went for a walk yesterday and when we got home, Sandy snagged something off the front porch. I reached for a treat to trade her and she swallowed it. Fast forward 2 hours, Sandy's cuddled up to me, getting ready for a nap when she start rocking. Not shivering but full body rocking back...

Darned little dog mouths!
Newt, as much as she hates being fussed with, is getting her teeth brushed. She had a dental less than a month ago and already has bad breath (no tartar though)..I assume food is sticking in her teeth somewhere because her mouth is so tiny. So, since getting this dog to chew raw bones is an ongoing battle...

Buddy's vet visit - CoBuHe
Buddy had a vet appt last Friday afternoon...but I didn't fast him for 24 hours. I was thinking he only needed about 8 hours between meals for them to get their numbers from the bloodwork. So we went today. Everything looks good...especially his weight. 114 POUNDS! That's a loss of 10 pounds...

Clipper for Willow-please advise
What kind of clipper should I get for Willow? I've been wanting to get one for her for awhile now but I hesitate because I just don't know what would be enough power for her, what size, etc. I just look at them and think that she might just have way too much fur for it to get thru. Today,...

Thyroid Problems? (Mechanical Angel)
Well, I took Lion into the vet today to get groomed. A couple weeks ago, he started to show signs of hair loss on his tail so I took him to the vet and asked them. Dr. Wachal said that could be a potential sign of a thyroid problem and to have him tested. Well, I took him in today to get tested and get...

Temaril-P Side Affects?? Leaking Urine???
Bailey was diagnosed with Kennel Cough after we boarded her while out of town on vacation... She had all her proper vaccines and obviously, they did not prevent this.... The vet put Bailey on an antibiotic (Cephalexin) and also on Temaril-P. We started both medications Friday evening which both require...

Good life Pet water bottle
Here's a pic I bought this to use for Neiko while we are doing search and rescue. It is not cheap - around $17. It's not that light weight either. However, with normal water bottles, we were wasting a lot of water because it would spill on the ground and such. The design of this is nice because...

Excess Acid/Bile causes vomitting???
Hi all! My sweet Ruby Sue has a very sensitive stomach...she is very sensitive to corn, and some other grains...so we feed her grain free foods. The vomitting has gotten so much better after figuring out just WHAT she can eat in regards to food or treats...and I couldn't be happier for her...

Proticall
Does anyone have any experience as to what, if any, side effects, or adverse reactions, might occur with this insecticide? Have any of you ever noticed anything behavioral? Hoping all the vet techs and groomers will jump in on this one. I have a consultation with a puppy owner tomorrow whose dog is getting...

Guyot Designs Squishy Pet bowl
I bought this a few months ago after tiring of the cordura type travel bowls and love it. It is made of some sort of silicone type material that is BPA & polycarbonate free, it folds up anyway you like and returns to shape instantly. It is super easy to clean up and because it is rubbery it doesn't...

Red feet?? Yeast?
Bugsy's feet are very red - in between his toes and in between the pads he hasn't been sucking or chewing them so i am guessing they aren't itchy I started wiping them with rubbing alcohol and something comes off that is the same burgundy red color I am guessing it is yeast build-up, if so...

allergy dermatitis?
Hi, My 3 year old west highland white terrier has a terrible itching problem. It started as itching, but then her skin turned bright red and then black. It only seems to be on her back, bottom, legs (especially toe area), and face/ears. She currently has no hair on those areas except her face. Behind...
