    Darned little dog mouths!

Newt, as much as she hates being fussed with, is getting her teeth brushed. She had a dental less than a month ago and already has bad breath (no tartar though)..I assume food is sticking in  her teeth somewhere because her mouth is so tiny. So, since getting this dog to chew raw bones is an ongoing battle (she will chew frozen raw meat strips..we make those for Ginger...but not bones) she's getting her little mouth brushed. She disapproves. I explained that if she'd chew the darned bones like everyone else does, we could skip this step.

I will say that the mini toothbrush is really quite preciousStick out tongue

Poor little Newt! Maybe she would like a trachea or a bully stick, instead? LOL My poor girls get their teeth brushed, too. Toy dogs are just special, like that.

She won't touch bullies (I've even cut them to tiny pieces) or tracheas..she has chewed a flat piece of..some sort of dried thing that came in my assorted bag of chewies (comes with bullies, snouts, tracheas, etc) and once chewed one of those pork skin rolled treats..but it was already chewed down by one of the other dogs so it was the inner part with one layer of hide.  Not a lot fits in her mouth, so it's an ongoing thing trying to get her to chew things.

We do keep trying things.  I was certain a lamb rib would work, since Ginger loves them and she's not too much larger, but Newtles vetoed that tooHuh? Frozen meat is better than nothing raw at all, I suppose.

Until then, toothbrushing it isStick out tongue
