The rescue said border collie/beagle mix. I'm inclined to think they are right. What do you think?

Raw feeders; ground beef recall

For those of you that feed raw, there is a recall in several states because of fears it may be contaminated with a dangerous strain of E.coli; [link http://www.cnn.com/2006/US/10/07/beef.recall.ap/index.html]http://www.cnn.com/2006/US/10/07/beef.recall.ap/index.html[/link] The packages should have the...

How would CM do it (Yeah, another one)
Posted to:
Training & Behavior
So, people say CM is a "behaviorist". Well, even a behaviorist has to have knowledge of basic dog training, right? Here is a question I pose to you: How do you think Cesar would train a dog to retrieve a dumbbell? This is more a question for Cesar lovers, and I would prefer those that...

Puppy Planning
Posted to:
Training & Behavior
This is going to seem absolutely, positively, utterly ridiculous coming from me.....but I need help planning for puppy. The puppy in question is Lachlan Quinlake Hellfire, aka "Riddle". Now, Riddle hasn't even been conceived yet, but I'm hoping for him to be here by March/April...

Doggie Daycare
Posted to:
News & Entertainment
Hello. What are you thoughts on doggie day care? Worth it? Waste of money? We have a 9 month old pup, my husband comes home for lunch and walks her so it isn't an issue of her being alone all day. We like the idea of giving her the opportunity to play with other dogs but that may have to be a...

solid gold?
Posted to:
Nutrition & Exercise
I was just wondering about your all's experience with solid gold. I've been feeding Innova for about 8 months, and switched to canidae about 2 months ago. I read an article about solid gold, and it sounded really good. It also mentioned that some ingredients that are in canidae weren't so...

Dog With Huge Hump On Back End
Posted to:
Health & Grooming
I rescued a dog from the freeway with a huge hump on his backside. It went down considerably at one time. Then it came back & is getting bigger every day. It's nearly the size of a bowling ball cut in half. He doesn't appear to be in pain, but he has a difficult time climbing stairs. I can't...

Adoption Application

Does anyone have an adoption application/agreement that I can borrow? I have one but it is pretty specific to BC's. I seem to have lost it on my computer so I can' edit it easily. So I'm looking for something I can edit in Word or something like that.

Help! We just got a new puppy yesterday. She is super sweet. We introduced her to our resident puppy who is just 6 months old. He is about twice as big as her. We would NEVER hurt her. He is a really teddy bear but a little clumsy. She and he get along well but sometimes when we puts his face in hers...

Halloween costumes
Posted to:
News & Entertainment
So, I literally wrestled Buddy into a Halloween costume this afternoon to see if it would fit. It does and I would like him to wear it without him chewing it to shreds. What do I need to do? Also, I think he will need to wear a sweater or something this winter. He got pretty cold a couple of weeks ago...

dog puking

last night my shih tzu brittan threw up her food, I monitored her through out the night and she continued to probably throw up 10 more times, all foamy, but not much. Each time she threw up, it seemed like such a chore for her little body to get it out. This a.m., she was having another episode, and...

OK - DH and I are struggling over something and I want to get some unbiased opinions. We currently have two cars one is a lease and one is a buy. House Hunting with New RE Agent

Well, my good real estate agent had family emergencies that took her away from her work and she can't work with me anymore. So she referred me to another woman, who I'm not so crazy about yet, but I'll give her a chance. As soon as she heard I didn't have thousands of dollars of earnest...
