    Halloween costumes

So, I literally wrestled Buddy into a Halloween costume this afternoon to see if it would fit.  It does and I would like him to wear it without him chewing it to shreds.  What do I need to do?  Also, I think he will need to wear a sweater or something this winter.  He got pretty cold a couple of weeks ago at a nighttime soccer game.  It was probably around 55 degrees.  So, getting him used to wearing something now would be useful.

Well, you can see in my avatar that my two are wearing reindeer antler/santa hat headbands.  Not an easy feat with a 4 month old crazy hound!  Every time I got out treats, they'd have to put them on and sit patiently until I gave them the treats, then I'd take off the headbands right after that.  Pretty soon they were just fine with it and sat nicely for pictures with Santa! :-)

If your pup is not used to wearing anything, it feels strange. Buy a SOFT, SOFT t- shirt. One for a little child maybe. Make sure anything he wears feels very good. Then let him sniff it and put it on give a treat. Take it off after a few minutes. Do it for longer periods of time. Also, I never leave the house with clothes on my doggie. I am afraid something could happen.

Just thought i'd suggest that a coat, something that velcros around the neck and belly particularly, might be easier than a sweater as you won't have to put his feet in it.

Or do what we did, just get her real tired. We let Presley play wiht her Golden friend for 3 hours and when I brought her home momma had a surprise for her - her halloween costume! Pic isn't that good but she just sat there - looking at us in disgust.
