new puppy growling/biting at resident puppy

Help!  We just got a new puppy yesterday.  She is super sweet.  We introduced her to our resident puppy who is just 6 months old.  He is about twice as big as her.  We would NEVER hurt her.  He is a really teddy bear but a little clumsy.  She and he get along well but sometimes when we puts his face in hers she will sometimes growl and bite at him.  What can we do to stop the behavior.  She seems to be quite timid and we don't want her to be afraid.  We have a feeling that she's a little afraid of him (the dog) so this is why she's acting this way.  We want to point out that she does not growl/bite everytime.  It seem just when she's had enough.  Please help.  We are worried about them!!!

If it only seems to be happening when one dog has had enough playtime, it sounds like pretty normal behavior to me . . . . .

I agree with Shohin. She's probably just trying to tell him that she's had enough, which is completely understandable.  I wouldn't worry about it unless she's really aggressive, or if the growling/biting starts to occur when it's not warranted.

Let the pup that doesn't want to play be separate when he has enough.
