what is in your whelping kits? And what is the one thing (or more :) ) that you can't do without? Were there things you bought that you never needed? Did you buy your 'kit' as a kit, or did you buy the individual pieces? I'm looking at different sites for good quality items, and wondered...

Kevin Behan - Any Experience?
Posted to:
Training & Behavior
People have told me my method sounds similar to Kevin Behan. I've read reviews of Natural Rearing[/i] and he sounds a bit out there. Which concerns me. LOL. Is this book worth my time? Two things in particular sound fishy - one is that they say his writing style is very abstract and that typically...

Ok. No. To say I'm boling mad would be a gross understatement. I am so completely & thoroughly PO'd I have to stop myself from, this very minute, going down to the E-Vets that BUTCHERED my dog and going postal on those incompitant @$$*****!!! The only thing holding me back is that it's...

TOTW (again) Need something else.
Posted to:
Nutrition & Exercise
I have been rotating this food with Evo. I really want to love TOTW. It has great ingredients and the price is decent. I'm just not happy with what it does to my dogs fur! All 3 aussies have lost weight too. It's tough enough to keep weight on Neiko as it is, but Lily has gotten too skinny as...

Mindless Chatter - Hump day
Posted to:
News & Entertainment
Good morning idoggers! I helped out at 2 agility classes last night and work with Abbie on her dog aggression. She has learned that if she approaches a dog nicely she gets a treat. We're still working on the reactivity though. Hopefully I can get this out of her quickly. This trainer is committed...

I know we are all forever being asked to donate for this and help with that but here is a painless way to really help kids ! Coming from Southern California to Southern Alabama one of the biggest issues I had with Culture Shock was the educational sysyem. It is so poorly funded you would be blown away...

Abbie abbie abbie
Posted to:
Training & Behavior
I believe that she is going to be one of those low-trigger dogs. When a dog offends her in any way she attacks. She means business too. Otherwise, she gets along fine with other dogs. I believe that most of it stems from resource aggression. For instance, she will growl at Dakota if Dakota walks by and...

It was getting so pretty and she was actually looking the I wanted her to look. Now all her belly hair is gone and I am sad. (I dont know how to fix the picture where...

I have visited but haven't posted in a long while. Things were going very well with my furkids until just recently. Caity can not seem to get over loose stools. They are very soft...not soup, but really soft. She almost always makes it out the door...sometimes not. And I have to clean off the patio...

Football fans---is he too small????

My seven year old just started tackle football. One of the offensive linemen was hurt during a practice, so they put in my guy---he looked like a hobbit compared to the rest of the line. So is he too small? ROFL PS I don't think he'll stay on the O line---but he did an awesome job...

Hearing Protection for Dogs? (gradyupmybutt)
Posted to:
News & Entertainment
Last night DH & I went to see King Crimson. AWESOME show but very loud. There was a woman there with a service dog. I believe the dog was a seeing eye dog. Seeing the dog made me wonder if there is such a thing as hearing protection for dogs? The whole point of a service dog is to help impaired people...
