Boy today came quickly. But, then, I did some work both weekend days so I guess that kind of speeds away the weekend. Right now it's a little overcast, but supposed to be a pretty day. Coldish though with the high only in the 60's. I broke down yesterday and took out sweaters. Sure hate to admit...

Dark nails
Posted to:
Health & Grooming
Hi all. My dog who's brown has really dark nails and I'm scared to cut them for him because I don't know where to stop. It literally takes me an hour, sometimes more just to cut his nails. Are there any tricks out there to guide me? I made his bleed twice and I swear if I do it again, he's...

Last night after getting up and letting a dog out I get seated and another dog wants out. They (including the cats) never go in or out at the same time. Sometimes I get fed up and make them go together, Then they’ll all want in a different times. When trying to relax in the evening me and hubby argue...

Headed out to National Agility Competition in a few days. It is taking place in Denver Co, so we have a few miles in front of us. Have sitters who stay right at the house, so our cats won 't get too lonely.

Beautiful day!! I am going to do a trail run and work in the yard. Bugsy's rehab was going nicely, a couple of swims and very short walks, allowing some wandering but putting a limit on it. Then a bit ago several hundred grackles landed in the yard while he was already out there (he was out front...

It's not even been worthy of mention but I found a spot of cellulitis last week & given my weird history of allergic reactions to meds, he put me on Bactrim rather than risking over-use of the one that typically 'works' since this is a very very early caught episode. I knew over the weekend...

Arthritic Two and Half Pawed Flat Coated Retriever Owner - Tri

Hello everyone. I joined this site after surfing the internet and dog forums for some suggestions on how to help my almost 10 year old, handicapped flat coated retriever. She has been missing one complete paw and half of another her entire life (both back two). She therefore has spent her whole life...

Hi, My name is Dia, and my dog and I live in British Columbia Canada. Boone is a two-year-old neutered Baladi dog, from near the Suez Canal in Egypt. Baladi is essentially a street dog, though my sister (his rescuer) and I suspect he's got Saluki/Canaan bloodlines. He's definitely got a sighthound...

I know these things aren't very accurate, but I just can't resist. And since I can do them so cheap at work I thought I'd try another. I did Dori's a few months back and got ridiculous results (Lab/Corgi), but I really wanted to try Finn. My results should be coming back soon (maybe another...

I'm not sure what the best way to proceed is so I'm looking for advice. DH and I drive about 1.5 hours 3 out for 4 Sundays to pick up his daughter. 85% of the time we pick her up at her grandmother's (her mother's mother). Regardless of where we pick her up, I stay in the car and DH goes...

Fall is definitely here! Cool and windy today--but with sunshine, so that's a good thing. Nothing exciting going on here.
