I have posted on here before about an assistant manager at work. I cannot stand him! I am completely uncomfortable working with him and I get along with pretty much everyone. I don't really like my manager, but I get along with her well enough to work with her. But, I am almost afraid of my Asst...

Problem with 2nd dog
Posted to: Training & Behavior
Hey guys. I know I should probably introduce myself in the other section but I figured I would post here first. I am having a problem with our second dog lately. We have a boston terrier(around 1.5 yrs old) and a boston/beagle mix(just turned 1 yr). The beagle has always been hyper and really starved...

Apology to those tired of hearing about my hare.
Posted to: News & Entertainment
I've been talking way too much about my hare on this board lately, considering it's a dog forum. It just keeps seeming relevant, dammit! So, I'm sorry to everyone who rolls their eyes and skips over my messages when they find the ubiquitous paragraph on wild hares. To commemorate this...

Playtime -- Is my dog being a bully?
Posted to: Training & Behavior
I have a 4 year old female Westie (Hannah) and a 8 week old male yellow lab mix (Harry, we've only had him for a week). They seem to get along fairly well outside, but inside we're having some issues with resource guarding, although now that we know what to look for, it seems to be getting...

My once very well behaved dog has turned into a total BRAT
Posted to: Training & Behavior
I used to live in a one bedroom apartment and I was able to leave him there all day and come home and he wouldn't pee/poo in the place. Then I moved to a place with a yard and he had two other dogs to play with and perhaps got spoiled by the situation. I had to move into a different place, and...

Large, mixed breed size?
Posted to: News & Entertainment
I thought that Teddy was roughly done growing. He's a little over a year old. He's very tall and skinny. He's always been like that though. My roommates went away for a couple of weeks and came back and were amazed that he didn't look so tall anymore because he's started "filling...

Sibling Rivalry
Posted to: Training & Behavior
I'm new to the board and I've been reading all I can about sibling canine rivalry. We have a four year old Westie (Hannah). She's pretty obedient and recognizes my husband as the alpha dog. We got an 8 week old lab mix (Harry) from the animal shelter this weekend and, as a result, have...

How important is the sit location?
Posted to: Nutrition & Exercise
My new rescue border collie is doing great with her training but when I pat my leg and ask her to sit at my left, she nearly always pulls away a little and sits so she can look at me. I am trying to get her to touch my hand and sit, so she is positioned better but there is still that pull away. I think...

Wasn't sure where to post this...

So if it's wrong, please move it and I apologize. But this guy seems to be friends or at least "friendly" with C.M. and wondered if any of you CM fans might be aware of this guy's training techniques or at least heard of him or of anyone who has used him. [link http://www.chicagodogtrainer...

Welcome home, Buffy!
Posted to: News & Entertainment
I picked her up at the airport on Saturday. She is very timid, so we are letting her chill out and get used to us, so the pictures are hard to get right now. She lacked confidence in the show ring and needed a C-section for her first and only litter, so she has been retired to give us some love now....

Coonhound Q&A!
Posted to: Choosing A Dog
vis a vis this post: http://forum.dog.com/asp/fb.asp?m=253540 That actually cleared a lot up for me, so thank you! I've been sort of going it alone on the coonhound front. I live in an area where they are quite rare (I've seen exactly two others--a blue tick and a gargantuan mutant walker...
