ROFL!  My sister did the same thing to me when I was ten or eleven.  My noise was literally touching the screen since I was trying to find a "ghost."  When it popped out me I ran up the stairs crying it scared me so bad.  lol.  Don't you love those emails?  Sent one to my grandma too, and when my dad was on the phone with her, I could hear her screaming across the room.  lol, I'm such a nice granddaughter, huh?

Although it was supposed to be funny, I just don't see humor in scaring a young child like that.  My brother did things like that to his children, and then wondered why he had all the problems he did.  Yeah, I'm older n dirt...but children need to know they are loved and cared for, and it is the parents job to make sure the child knows he will be.  I can't see how this helps to create a confident well-adjusted human being.

I agree with marty, .. it was just the cherry on top that the child was crying at the end. :S

    I hate those things. [>:]

The joke is funny to people old enough to see the humour.  NOT to little kids.  And honestly who thinks a kid sobbing in fright is funny?  SAD[&o]

My daughter did a worse one than that to me,and then did it to my son who's younger than the kid in the clip.He thought it was hilarious after the shock wore off [:D] I've seen those pop up's done to loads of people,my mom included, and i have NEVER seen anyone react like that boy..a little too sensitive, maybe???

I could picture me doing that to my kids and then feeling like crap if they ever started crying like that. Luckily my kids weren't the type to cry like that, they would probably jump or scream at first and then laugh.

My sister got one of those in an e-mail she was over at my house and doing something It was a game or something and the face popped up and the volume was all the way up.  My nephiews happened to be watching and they literally peed in their pants (7 and 5) they wouldn't go in a room alone for a month and sat right next to their mom for days.  They were so scared of it...

I hate these kind of things and I wouldn't have watched except I had no idea what everybody was talking about with the "face popping up". I saw something similar on that "America's Funniest Home Videos" once that I considered child abuse. The dad went into the kids room with a Jason mask on and a chainsaw and started it up and the kids went out screaming into the hall. I can't believe they showed that on television. I'd like to take these parents into a room with a rubber hose and show them what I think is funny.

Yup, I have to say I thought it was MEAN. That poor little boy! He was really scared!

Thinking that this is funny is NOT a function of "being young enough." Hurting other people, especially little ones, isn't funny. Being kind is something everyone of every age should be. [sm=smack.gif][sm=sad.gif]

That poor kid, WTF was that dad thinking[:@], I would never do that to my kid, and he is pretty resiliant, he has watched alot of suspenceful horror type movies with me, he thing with those thinks is the shock of her face and the screaming.
