Apology to those tired of hearing about my hare.

Apology to those tired of hearing about my hare.

I've been talking way too much about my hare on this board lately, considering it's a dog forum. It just keeps seeming relevant, dammit! So, I'm sorry to everyone who rolls their eyes and skips over my messages when they find the ubiquitous paragraph on wild hares.

To commemorate this apology, I'm adding a new line to my siggy. The American guy who hired me to work for him in Mexico last year liked to complain "She's always talking about her hare!", because he thought it amusing that most girls were always talking about their hair and it often took him a few moments of confusion before he realised that once again, I was talking about my hare and not my hair. [:)]

I'm going to get that put on a shirt.

Well I, for one, love it when you talk about your hare. [:D]

I'm always talking about human students, because, well, it also just seems to damned relevent so much of the time! I have deleted innumerable posts before hitting "OK" because I realized that I spend the entire post talking about teaching human kids, not training dogs!

So I say go ahead and talk about your hare all you want!

Maybe you would have been better off using "Bugs Bunny".....[8D]

Oh, well I'm sorry that I've missed them.  I haven't caught any of them, I think it would have been interesting.

And, houndlove, don't delete - that was probably some very good stuff too.  How interresting would we be w/o running off on tangents sometimes?

Cressida, I love it when you talk about students. They're relevant so relevant, too! [:D] I like it when people bring what they've learnt from working with other animals (and children) to their work with their dogs. It gives some really interesting insights, and often makes me think about how much dogs have in common with both kids and other animals. Some things are pretty universal.

I certainly won't stop talking about my hare, but now I've got a disclaimer in my sig. [;)]

I love hearing about your hare as well. I loved reading your posts in the exotic animals thread. :)

As others have said, I really enjoy hearing about Kit! Your posts are very insightful, and it's great to hear your perspective from working with a wild animal. I know I manage to work my rats into about half of my posts, so I certainly wouldn't be in any position to judge you for talking about your hare. [8D]

I love your hare! He's very fascinating.

I love hearing about Kit.  But I have a not-so-secret desire to have a bunny (not quite a hare, but still).
    • Gold Top Dog
Nope I'm not sick and tired of hearing about Kit.

I love hearing about your hare he is so intresting and your the only person that I know that has a hare for pet.  Kit is just so fascinating and I just love that little guy don't stop talking about him please. If you shut up about your hare then I'll have to shut up about my chinchillas[;)].

    Nooo, not the chinnies! [:o]

I love the chinchillas, too. And the rats! [:D] Hooray for non-dogs on dog forums! I secretly want a chinchilla, but we don't have them over here and somehow I can't see the government allowing any imports. We're not allowed to import rabbits full stop anymore, regardless of what breed it is or how long you're willing to quarantine it. There's still a lot of rabbit fear in this country. In one state, you're not even allowed to keep rabbits as pets. If they find out you have one, you can be fined $30 000 and they'll euthanise the bun.

Ratsicles, your rat stories make me think I should try rats as pets at some stage. After Kit, I'm pretty sure I won't be up to keeping rabbits for a while. Maybe that would be a good time to try ratties. [:)]

I'm going to join the rest of the replies here by saying that I enjoy hearing about your hare as well!! I personally find it interesting, since not many people have a wild hare in the first place! So keep on talking! [:D]

Wasnt gonna read this thread cause I didn't think it was directed at me, since I am far from tired of hearing about you hare.  But then I decided to come on and let you know that...  Seems to be a common consensus.[:D]

It's okay to have bad hare days.
