CANINE CANCER IN GOLDENS
Posted to:
Health & Grooming
My husband and I are just heartbroken over the loss of our 8 year old Golden Retriever, Cocoa, to Hemangiosarcoma. It was misdiagnosed as a tick-borne illness but soon manifested itself as a ruptured tumor. We had to put him down on Saturday. I am a work-at-home writer and my husband travels on business...

Springfield, MA--UPDATE!!!

Is anyone from there or has anyone visited there? The person who is interested in Jet lives there. I have heard not to adopt an Am Staff/Pit bull to anyone in the town but that seems a little prejudice to me. If you live there, what is it like? And if you know the area please PM me so I can ask...

Does puppy paw size really tell how large it will grow?
Posted to:
News & Entertainment
I#%92ve heard this over and over that if the puppy has big paws it will grow into a large dog, small paws-small dog. How true is that? When I first got Giz the first vet I took her to (and will never go to again) told me she was a chihuahua mix because of how tiny her paws looked, well she is obviously...

Should dogs be bothered while eating?
Posted to:
Training & Behavior
Since I missed out on the other thread, thought I'd start one here. I have six german shepherds. I can go to any one of them at any time and take whatever it is that they have, be it a food bowl, a fresh meaty bone, whatever. Or I can call them to me and ask for a drop it and get the item. Four...

Infections - Again
Posted to:
Health & Grooming
Not sure many remember, but it was last year at this time that Sassy developed the nasty infection on her tummy. We treated with Keflex (I think that's what we started with) and it didn't respond, so we did a culture and sensitivity and it grew all kinds of nasty things. Based on that, we changed...

Help - Sudden chewing on windowsills
Posted to:
Training & Behavior
We are at our wit's end. Our 5 year old pup has always been a wonderful family member. We moved into a brand new home in December and she appeared to settle in nicely with her sister. Now, out of the blue, she's begun chewing on the corners of our windowsills. She has done this twice, both times...
