Is Beef bad for dogs?
Posted to:
Nutrition & Exercise
I e-mailed Canidae for a sample of their kibble and mentioned that my puppy loves the Innova EVO 95% Beef (canned). They e-mailed me back that beef is not really good for dogs and that the EVO was too rich! Who is right on this one? Is beef bad for dogs? Should I not feed the EVO to my puppy? I am really...

Redbone Coonhounds.....
Posted to:
News & Entertainment
I am interested in redbone coonhounds. Has anyone owned one (or any other hound)? I know that hounds tend to be independant, but is it possible to do things like obedience and agility with them?

Need i-dog prayers

Well, as some of you know, I have recently rescued a 6 year old Italian Greyhound named Angel. Her teeth are rotten and will be coming out and she is going to be spay. I found out today that she has a mammory gland tumor ( praying it is only one) and this will also have to be removed. I am an emotion...

My husband and I have a 5 ½ month old female Puggle (Pug/Beagle mix) Puppy. She is our little baby but we are having major problems with housetraining. I would just like to be even a little bit closer to having her trained. There are several positives and several problems: POSITIVES: 1.) She is...

Tyler is afraid of the vacume. Now I don't know WHY because he was used to the vacume and even the big old shop vac from a VERY young age, but after his little "vacation" the vacume terrifies him. He's not afraid of the canister part of the vac, but rather the wand, so I suspect that...

chasing cats
Posted to:
Training & Behavior
Is it possible to ever get a dog used to cats, to the point where he doesn't chase them (probably with the intent of killing them)? I have a pit mix who chases my cats. Currently the house is divided into dog-zone and cat-zone, but I hate this. I have to walk him on a leash to get him from the...

Hercules is a 3 1/2 month old daschaund / rottwieler mix (yes, it's true) is developing an attitude. He likes to bark and nip if he doesn't get his way. He also talks back when you say no. Currently we are ignoring this behavior hoping it will pass. Is this normal puppy behavior, or is it...

Relief

We should be cracking the heat wave today. A front is coming through and the trade winds are shifting. We may get some rain, more than likely, late tonight into early tomorrow. Project lows in the middle of the week should be in the upper 60's. If you hear a wild-eyed southern boy step out the door...
