Here in San Angelo, we have been having pouring rain with thunder and lightning all night. I woke up to a river outside on our street. My husband was lying on the couch enjoying the sound of the rain on our skylight. The best part about today's weather is that we will only be in the 80's! Woo hoo!! • tashakota Posted : 8/28/2006 11:25:21 AM We got our first good rain in a while here too.  Apparently 4-5 inches in a very short period of time, which washed out the hole they cut in our driveway.  [:@]  Now I have to drive into the yard to get in and out in my car. And the mud it created.  If "y'all" don't know about Indiana, it's not dirt, it's clay.  Red, sticky, ugly clay.  In the dead summer, it's hard pack and forget about digging!  In the rainy season, forget about trying to walk through the mud.  It sticks to your shoes in layers!  Easily add 5 pounds in a few steps.  Even though we got a lot of rain, it came down too fast and most will run off and not soak in. 0 LIKE Like Share You have posted to a forum that requires a moderator to approve posts before they are publicly available.
