Is Beef bad for dogs?

I have heard that about beef too.  I wonder if what they are concerned about is the antibiotics, pestacides issues that the livestock may be exposed to?

I can get Canidae and Innova at the same store...

That was pretty dumb of Canidae to say...but then again it is only one representative speaking on behalf of the company...not everyone is educated in these matters. Maybe that person should look for a new job! [:-]

Anyway, I just got a response back from Innova...and the lady told me she would forward BOTH my questions to another person, because SHE did not know the answer! [>:] So, basically my ALL my questions went unanswered.

So, I think it is just who responds to your e-mail. Some people know and some people don't....we can't blame the ENTIRE company on ONE person....although I agree...what the heck were they talking about with the beef?? Weird...
 
I have also heard people say not to feed Elk/Deer because of all the diseases they are dealing with and that their meat might be bad? Don't know just what I heard....you will hear so many different things from so many different people...it comes down to what YOU want to believe and what YOU want to feed your dog. It's your dog and your life...[sm=2cents.gif]

I don't understand this phrase, "the food is too rich".  How can meat be too "rich" for a dog if that's what they are supposed to be eating?  If a food doesn't have all meat, it's "grain" heavy.  If it's got all meat, it's too "rich".

I'm jealous that you can get them at the same store.  I have to drive across town to get one.  It's the same way in Texas.  We can't get them in the same place there either.  We are going to Colorado in the near future so I'm going to check there and see if it is the same way.

I totally know where you are coming from though! It always seems that the places never carry the 2 foods your are looking for. There are some places here, of course, that only have either Innova or Canidae. I have found a few that carry both. But its funny because the one place that I found that carries the Innova EVO 95% canned in ALL varieties does not carry Canidae...I still have yet to find one place that just carries it ALL,
