fatty acid supplement or fish oil supplement
Just wondering for those who give your dog a fatty acid or fish oil supplement, what brand do you use. I tried using sardines in water, but everytime I give them to Jake he throws up. So I need to find him a fatty acid supplement or fish oil supplement. Thanks, Michelle

Is food coloring safe to put in dog treats?
Hey, so I figured I would make valentines day dog treats for Simba, and thought about putting some red food coloring in them. I just want to know if this is safe or not.

Want to get GSD into tracking (Liesje, any tips?)
T-Bone has one heck of a nose. He always turns and waits for me when he's "too far", and resumes his trail when I am close enough. Sometimes I hide treats and tell him "go find it!" and he'll sniff them out, anywhere. He seems to be very focused and like he is enjoying his...

vitamins and administration
I started give Jake Omega FF twist - tip caps by Butler, which was recommended by my vet. He used to take Efa vites, which have been discontinued. The Butler capsules are really big and he can't swollow them, so I twist the fish tail off and can squeeze the liquid onto his food. There is so much...

Proper food amount
I'm sure this has been covered a million times, but I'd like to get some answers specific to my dogs. I have two Boykin Spaniels: Maren, a 5 year old female and Brecken, a 9 month old male. I'm trying to hone in on the proper amount to feed them once a day in the morning. I've been feeding...

Honest Kitchen
Ok, I have the momma guilt again! HK products are so appealing to me. Keen looks great- not only is it a great price, it also is turkey based, which teh dogs do very well on. I was thinking, since I just ordered an 18lb bag of PetGuard (to which I was planning on adding crockpotted meats/vegs), do...

Frozen RMB
If I give Rory a frozen RMB outside, how long should I allow her to have it? I don't want them in my house and I had tried giving in a crate, but she just wanted out of the crate, so for us, outside is the best option where she can lay in the grass and gnaw away. I will supervise her while she has...

Anyone have a dog bone filling recipe - not the soft filling like...
I've bought a couple of bones from time to time that come with some hard type of filling where the marrow used to be that takes awhile for my dog to get out and keeps him busy for a good long time. Does anyone have a recipe for that type of filling so I can refill these bones and not have to buy...

How does 3rd place with a 94 out of 17 dogs sound? It would have been 2nd if I hadn't been an air head and done Sit Down Sit Forward instead of Sit Down Forward, tho. But you know what, screw up or not, we had a great day. Before our class, I told my husband that even if we totally blew it, the day...

Switching food in our puppy
Our breeder uses Eukanuba Large Breed Puppy and of course would prefer he stay on it. As adults she uses their performance food which is 30/20 which imo is too high in fat unless the dog is working/running/agility etc everyday. She said it works for them for years now. He just isn't into his food...

Starting all day reward training-what to feed?
I just had a trainer come yesterday for my 4ish month bichon-terrier-poodlex Maggie. We are aiming for 200 repetions of all the various behaviors (ie sit, stay, look,go to bed,etc...) And each reward is usually going to be a treat of sorts. Obviously I won't be feeding her 2 full meals plus all day...
