IMO, thats way to much reps for a 4 mo old Tootsie, who is five, would shut down if I did that. Also, 1 1/2 cups of food a day for your pup is a lot.

Maybe I am missing something here--on the bottom of the Wellness bag it says to feed 2 cups to dogs 3-4 months (10lb) and 1 1/2 cups to them when 5-7 months. She is around 4 months, and eats closer to 1 or 1 1/2  of the kibble. Why would 1 1/2cups be too much then?

From what Ive seen, the feeding guidelines on the bag are usually way off. When Bailey was on kibble (he gets only BARF now) the bag said 3.5-4 cups of food for a dog his size (70lbs). When we were pretty active, he would eat 2 cups a day, and maintain a good weight on it.

You're right, Maggie is only estimated to be 20 or less# full grown. Oh, the bag says 450kcal per cup. Is that outrageous for a dog her size? I thought Wellness was a healthy option.

She is active with our other dog, but at this stage since we still have one more set of vax, her walks are pretty much 30 min around the neighborhood per day. Once she has her shots I plan to get her out and about more. Oh, and we do fetch type games interspersed in the day. I think I will just trust my instincts and not give the full suggested amount. She doesn't seem to want that much, anyway, and she does get those wonderful Charlie Bears, now, for training.

How about just using tiny tiny pieces of meat (raw or cooked) ? Thats what I use for Bailey most of the time.
