ah I see, I was confused because the phrasing sounded like you were referring to owning the dog, which has nothing to do with registration type..own vs co own...was what I was thinking. sorry for misunderstanding
I sell all pets on limited...and they are meant to be pets, or if the owner likes, performance, but not shown in conformation. Different breed tho! They do cost less as well (pets, regardless of reg. status, a retired show prospect would have a full reg but be s/n prior to placement because they're old enough, 4 ex.)...much as I would love to roll in dough...it ain't happening that I make money because of a price difference in pet vs show LOL. For me it's just about getting people wanting pet's noses OUT of the local paper and taking some of them away from BYB's and pet shops. My prices are all about that...good people out there cannot afford the cost of a show dog...so I don't charge them that. My pet hounds are not cheap, but neither are they out of reach for the average person living in this economy, either. I have had success with this...but I know it's not everyone's cuppa.
