fatty acid supplement or fish oil supplement

Just wondering for those who give your dog a fatty acid or fish oil supplement, what brand do you use.  I tried using sardines in water, but everytime I give them to Jake he throws up.  So I need to find him a fatty acid supplement or fish oil supplement.

    Thanks,

    Michelle

I just buy salmon oil capsules in the human supplement aisle in WalMart.

Mine get Sea Pet 200. It was reccomended by Sabine, for Emma, and I've used it ever since. It's convenient (can dose any size dog that comes through, because it's liquid) and has the vit e already added in. It also is not stinky, at all. Mine love it.

    Jennie,

Who is the maker of Sea Pet 200?  I found it at EntirelyPet.com, but cannot find the ingredients.

I think it's best to rotate fatty acid supplements. My dogs get a different dose w/each meal... some meals they get salmon oil & vit E, some they get flaxseed or hemp oil, some they might get extra virgin coconut oil, safflower oil, walnut oil, pumpkinseed oil or fish oil (sardine/menhaden/anchovy/tuna). I usually use a supplement called California Natural Skin & Coat or Omega Dog and sometimes I cover all supplements in one shot w/a product called Wholistic Canine Complete. I feel dogs need a variety in their supplements just the same as they need variety in their food.
