what to do during a dog attack
Posted to:
News & Entertainment
Some people say you should curl up to protect your vital organs; others say you should fight back and hit the dog when his jaws are on you. Just to set the record straight, what are you actually supposed to do (and not do) if you are attacked by a dog or a pack of dogs?

ok...in new york city, it is a recognized, but unofficial law that dogs can run off leash before 9 a.m. in the parks (there is a dopey group currently suing the city concerning this...that's for another thread). so, me and sparky go almost every morning...he chases squirrels, plays with some buddies...

I think that winston may be having a reaction to his rabies vaccine last week (Friday the 22nd) . . . . tell me what you all think Symptoms: 1. Lump at what I suspect to be the injection site. Its a little smaller than a quarter and is UNDER the skin; it moves a little. It does not seem to bother...

NOW can you guess the breed? 18 days old
Posted to:
News & Entertainment
So, I'm asking again- the pups are older- 18 days in these pics and weigh between 36 and 44 ounces. They all three seem to have a wooly undercoat. Or, is it still too early to guess the breed mix? I'm putting the pics in separate posts in this thread- otherwise the file is too big..

Whats this

Ok, I'm a little embarrassed to ask, but does anyone know what this rash is. It doesn't look like much, but it itches really bad. It is on my chest, in a very odd place for a rash to be. Any ideas would be greatly appriciated.[sm=blush.gif]

Hi all, Haven't been here in ages, it seems. I've been busy doing I don't know what, but I'm having fun at it. So, yesterday I was visiting a new fancy dog store in town and the groomer was talking it up with me and Misty, trying to get our business away from our present groomer...

Hi, My girlfriend and I picked up a 3mo old French Bulldog named Maggie last Saturday so we've now had her for about a week and 2 days. We are crate training of course and it's going pretty well. She still cries in the crate but we ignore her and she is getting better. I have many questions...

Socks & Shoes

My dog Rocky has a thing with socks and shoes. He doesn't chew them up. Instead, he collects them. He will carry shoes and socks into his kennel, his bed, and occassionally into our bed. The other day he grabbed a sock lying next to him and pulled it onto him like it was a blanket. It's not so...
