• Whats this Aina Posted : 10/5/2006 6:22:14 PM Ok, I'm a little embarrassed to ask, but does anyone know what this rash is. It doesn't look like much, but it itches really bad. It is on my chest, in a very odd place for a rash to be. • NicoleS Posted : 10/5/2006 7:08:03 PM It's blury, but if I didn't know it was on your chest I might say it almost looks like poison ivy/poison oak.  Kinda hard to get it there.  Other than that, I would ask if you changed anything recently  - laundry soap, fabric softener, deodorant, perfume, ANYthing.  I'm allergic to certin fragrences in soap/lotion, etc and I would get a rash on my chest.  Try some hydrocortisone cream on it until you can get to the doc's - I also have a severe skin reaction to neosporin/bacitracin/antiseptic, etc and it's the only thing that works.  Prescription strength is like 2x the normal OTC concentration, so it's okay to use a bit more than they say OTC to see if that helps.  But get it looked at if it  persists.   ETA - but it's not oozing right? poison ivy would ooze..... so definitely not that, not to mention on your chest! 0 LIKE Like Share You have posted to a forum that requires a moderator to approve posts before they are publicly available. • Aina Posted : 10/6/2006 8:09:29 AM Ok, some more information. It has been there for a while, about two months. It is in a place where it is only touched by my under garments. I think it started when I got a new bathing suit in the begining of summer. The patch of skin is about the size of my thumb, maybe a little bit bigger.  I think there might be another patch growing on the other side of my chest, but it isn't visable yet. This side hasn't grown in a while though. I got an email and a letter the other day about a rash that forms on your breast. It could leak puss, it could not. You have to get this checked. You could have scabbies? This cancer? Or an alergic reaction. This rash is a warning sign that something is not right. Shy or not get your butt to a DR. Right away.
