Just dropping in to say Hello.... I went missing for a couple of months, lots of work drama going on so had to lay low. Unfortunately, I don't have a computer at home so....my only I-Dog time was at work. But now all is okay and everything is back to normal. And if nobody noticed I was missing...

Do you have a favorite? If your house was on fire, would you rescue one dog before another if you only had time for one? Very curious as I only have one dog and never have had multiple dogs.

McNabb Border Collie?
Posted to:
Choosing A Dog
I was watching the Ultimate Dog Challenge on Animal Planet, and one of the dogs is a McNabb Border Collie. She's beautiful! Very leggy, lean, and graceful. I've heard the name, but I don't think I've ever seen one. Are they a seperate breed from Border Collies? She had a smooth coat,...

I have posted before about getting my puppy and my parents older dog together and our concerns about them. Well, we have done and they are together often now. My parents dog isn't always pleased with Buddy, but she holds her own. I have a couple of questions about behaviors that Buddy demostrates...

Advantix for dog... what for the house?
Posted to:
Health & Grooming
I'm waiting for my dog.com dollars to come from my AKC registration to place my first dog.com order for Advantix for Sci-Fi. I'm curious, though... If I treat the dog, what about any fleas that got off before the dog was treated? Wouldn't they be living in the carpet and then feeding on...

o.k., i know i'll be accused of just seeking attention...well, our dogs crave attention, and we love them. but there is a politically active group here that despises me, and they are urgently awaiting jaime's return, to quickly get rid of me (by the way, jaime appreciates my style). yes, jaime...

Dog food Recipe PLEASE!?
Posted to:
Nutrition & Exercise
I am so confused about dog food right now. I really want to homecook for my dog, but I don't know where to begin. I have bought books on homecooking but they all say that kibble should be included as well in order to provide all the nutrients. I have no idea how to balance the protein and calcium...

Our beloved 12 yoGerman Shepherd Dog has started pooping in the house and we are at our wits end.. She is an indoor dog, very submissive for a GSD, and has her CGC. She is starting to have a bit of trouble getting up and around, but will still jog after a squirrel without too much problem. She has NEVER...

Eating Plants
Posted to:
Nutrition & Exercise
Hi everyone. I live in my parents' house still ... and they welcomed Dweezil, but the one thing they would not do, is get rid of their plants, understandably, as they have always had plants all over the house. Dweezil would occasionally grab a leaf off a plant ... but she never got sick, and this behavior...
