    election day..should faramir/joel be banned?

o.k., i know i'll be accused of just seeking attention...well, our dogs crave attention, and we love them. but there is a politically active group here that despises me, and they are urgently awaiting jaime's return, to quickly get rid of me (by the way, jaime appreciates my style). yes, jaime was correct in banning me before...despite that some considered me  thought provoking and funny (i have held back my satire on this return), i did get over-rowdy (especially when under attack), and ruffled the sensibilites of the more sensitive. and yes, once banned, it makes sense not to allow me to return under a new name...if that was the case, why even whatserface could come back too. but i would still like to know if the silent majority prefers my participation, or the opposite. i suppose there should be three voting options: 1) faramir/joel should stay2) faramir/joel should be banned3) couldn't give a rat's tush one way or the other. try to keep the commentary to a minimum. and remember, a vote for faramir/joel is a vote for sparky/ ernie. V FOR VICTORY!

I would vote stay if you do as you say and concentrate on abandoned and rescue dogs.  Focusing on shelters and rescue organization, how their managed and how to better coordinate a volunteer corps and build a communication network to move dogs.  I think you need to move on from your old subjects.

hmmmm......the polls are very slow....seems like an apathetic electorate....maybe people have to have their coffee first.

there is a vote in abstentia from angel trudelle...a very firm vote for stay.

This isn#%92t a popularity contest. When you#%92re banned you#%92re banned for good. Your ego doesn#%92t get to make the rules. If you are allowed back, everyone that#%92s been banned should be allowed back, and it pretty much defeats the point of ever banning anyone in the future.

I totally agree with Sooner.  I was pretty new when the "big fight" went down and you got banned.  I think that once you're banned, you don't come back, it's the only fair thing to do.

I agree once you are banned you are banned. I dont see why you should get any special treatment. Lots of people have been banned from here and none of them get to come back.

But this isnt our buisness this is for Jamie to decide.

it's not going well...i knew i shouldn't have hired karl rove as my campaign coordinator...maybe it's just the red states in the midwest and south...they like law and order.
we'll have to wait for returns from the northeast and california.

It's been my understanding that those who are banned usually get three strikes first, or they have to do something pretty obnoxious.  If anyone gets back on the forum, IMO, it should be because the moderators come up with a new protocol, not because they came back under another identity (which is against forum rules) and took a freaking poll.  If you wanted back on, you should have contacted Jaime privately and discussed that possibility, or asked a member whose email you have, to do so for you.  Under these circumstances, I would have to vote no.  It's not personal, though.

let's approach this from a different direction....i really don't care if i get banned or not...i pretty much want to know if there is only a small group which really can't stand my postings, and other people enjoy it...or ....
    • Gold Top Dog
Well, I have to say it wouldn't bother me one way or the other.  But I do feel like we have been deceived, and that I don't like at all.
    • Gold Top Dog
    I don't really care either...
I found some of your previous posts quite amusing, but I didn't miss you when you were gone.

I agree that if you wanted back on, you shouldn't have tried to fool people. I wish you'd come back but leave certain issues alone. You know how everyone feels and we all know how you feel. If someone new comes, and you're afraid they might not know how you feel, maybe you can link them to an old thread.

That's exactly why he got banned... it's an issue about which he is passionate and he cannot let it go...

Agreed.  I'm on another board where members who were banned we allowed to return.  Guess who causes the most trouble there?

Lord have mercy. My 2 year old niece doesn't even demand this much attention. At the risk of feeding the monkey again, you were banned and you're violating the TOS of this board as I type so yes you should be banned again. The rules apply to you just like everyone else. End of story. [8|]
