Isis and her bone question
Posted to:
News & Entertainment
Whenever I give Isis a marrow bone to chew on she'll lie down with it in front of her and then she'll start to whine. She doesn't stop whining and proceed to chew on it until I sit down, which is why I am on the computer right now, so she can enjoy her bone! The only time during the day when...

Hi guys, my gf and I adopted an adorable golden retriever mix puppy from a rescue org last Sunday, he's about 9 weeks old and is not house trained, so ever since we took him back we've been trying to potty train him to not go inside the apartment, but so far it's just not going in the right...

Urgent action is needed. The New York Legislature has introduced misguided bills -- S02164 and A14253 -- which would require boarding kennels and grooming facilities to obtain proof of ANNUAL VACCINATION "against distemper, hepatitis, para influenza, leptospirosis, parvo and bordetella during the...

Chiffon ribbon

I have a problem. I just love those "party collars" and want to make a bunch for my dogs. I got the pattern, got the rhinestones and what not but I can't find chiffon ribbon. I've been to Hancock Fabrics, Joann Fabrics and Michaels and they either don't carry it or have a very limited...

I have moved in with my sister and brother in-law recently for a few months while I finish college. They have three dogs and one of them, a black lab named Baily, has become VERY addicted to tennis balls! All she thinks about is the ball, whenver you come in she will only go out if you throw the ball...

Last nite my 9 year old bulldog collapsed. The ER diagnosed an enlarged heart and high blood pressure. She is now at the cardiologist and we are awaiting his diagnosis. She is a very healthy bulldog or was anyway. Has anyone had this happen and did your dog survive? We are in total shock and despair...

I hope I'm in the right forum for this post... if not, someone, let me know! Hi, I have two questions for the dog trainer regarding our dog, Hailey, who is a Miniature Schnauzer who just turned 2. She is on the small side, 11lbs, full of puppy energy, and relishes the center of attention. My husband...

A couple of hours ago I gave Blue a hour walk around town. Well I'm going down one block next thing I know I have some pit bull mix come out of no where running as fast as it can at us. Thankfully Blue was next to me and I sandwich Blue between this dog. The darn dog is moving around snarling and...

Water on walks
Posted to:
News & Entertainment
I usually try to take my boys on at least a 2.5-3 mile walk every day. Now that it's getting hot--yes, it actually stopped raining in WA!--this is too far to go without giving them some water along the way. I bought a water bottle holder that you clip on your pants, but it's too heavy and drags...
