Oh I totally agree about the muzzle I just dont know how extreme this problem is as I have not seen it.... and I didnt not even think about the flat face thing.  I also agree that its puppy behavior and totally fixable.

I just want to thank everyone so much for their replies... I'm sorry it's taken a while to get back. I've been busy at work and then with the dog... I appreciate all of your suggestions, I've tried a lot of them and they are working!

What is helping the most is standing up straight and stiff and showing him I mean business. The first time I tried this, he let go of my pants, sat down, and licked my leg (the first time he ever licked me!) I've also been exercizing him more and I think this is helping as well. We've always done a lot of "fetch" in the house but I'm taking him on long walks at the end of the evening now and it really wears him out (in addition to the smaller walks I do throughout the day.)

Thanks again for all of your help... looking forward to puppy class next week!

Gracie likes to nip and bite. We have been working with the "OW!" method. When she bites hard whom ever is the bitee will yell OW! and she lets go. It seems to be working really well. Puppies will go through the bitey stage, it is completely normal.

Congrats on having a really cool, smart puppy! You should be proud!

I think this is normal esp for a bt they are crazy when they are little. Mine have always been  and they grow out of it (some times hehe)  But puppy class is a Great idea for you. Even if you think you are doing a good job maybe  they can show you some extra tricks to help you out. Good luck and have fun with your puppy BT cause they are great dogs!!!!
