Boarding a dog...
Posted to: News & Entertainment
DH and I just got back from a one week trip to Vegas, and we had Sally boarded with our vet. The vet said she did well and that she was a sweetheart. When we came to get her it was like she was unsure of us at first. When she got closer and smelled us she was fine. Is this normal? Should I be worried...

knuckle bone vs. chicken leg
Posted to: Nutrition & Exercise
I currently give Zoe a marrow bone every other week or so to help clean teeth but I think if I understand correctly, the tearing of the meat is what does the cleaning so knuckle bones and chicken legs are better. My question is, which is better to give her...a knuckle bone or a chicken leg. Also, would...

Her ears have stuck right up, they are not tipping at the point as stated in the breed standard that a Collie's should. I read on a breeders page to use tape, and I followed the instructions...

Veggie treats
Posted to: Nutrition & Exercise
Someone mentioned in an earlier posting that when putting their dog in the crate/pen for the day when going to work they put in some veggies for the dog to have to snack on during the day. What type of veggies are appropriate to give a dog in his crate unsupervised for the day? Thanks

Frozen raw for puppies???

Can anyone tell me how I would convert the feeding guidelines for a puppy? Its the Organic Chicken frozen patties from NV... it says 3/4 patty a day, and doesnt say anything about puppies. Does anyone have any suggestions on what I should be giving her? Double this like regular food? Thanks.

Keeping a dog from drinking.....

I'm not a dog owner. I do however own a nice bird-bath that's kept out front of my house. It has a small statue of a goddess that pours (Recirculates) water back into the bath. We have some Scurrilous dog owners in the neighborhood that allow their dogs to roam free. Quite a few have found...

Fatty kitty has been on a diet since January, and today is the first time I have EVER witnessed her leapig onto the kitchen counter. I know I should NOT laugh...
Posted to: News & Entertainment
I know it isn't right, and certainly isn't nice to laugh at Jezebelle, but she has been so pathetically cute tonight. She was to have her ears cleaned, and thus a tranquilizer was given at 11:30 am. Her appointment at 1 pm - you couldn't even tell it. But at 4:30, she is stoned. I kept putting...
