Poor Shaq!! [

] He wanted out early this morning, and when we let him back inside DH and I both noticed he was limping. DH had the day off from work, so he had instructions from me to call the vet and schedule an appt ASAP. We were both soooo worried. [

]
Anyway DH managed to make an appt for this afternoon. I knew that Marley was not about to stay at home while Shaq went for a ride, and the vet is over an hour away, so I took the afternoon off from work. (Yes, we are both a little nuts about the dogs.) I was really stressed about the entire thing. 1. I was worried that Shaq was seriously hurt. 2. We had tried a new vet clinic over Christmas, and the entire visit was a nightmare. So now that we were going back to our old clinic I was worried that the dogs would remember the last horrible experience.
We arrived at the vet clinic, and DH took Shaq inside, while Marley and I stayed outside. (We took a little walk.) DH was not gone very long. When he came out, I learned that Shaq only had sprained his toes, and the vet had given us several days worth of painkillers. [

] I then went inside to hav Marley weighed, and we left for home.
The entire way back DH and I were so happy that not only had Shaq been okay, but the vet visit had gone VERY well. DH said Shaq seemed excited to go in the clinic, and greeted the receptionist as usual. The Dr and tech who examined Shaq were friendly, and helpful. It was such a great experience, compared to the other clinic we had tried for their annual check-ups.
I just wanted to share because I am so relieved that Shaq is okay, and that our visit went well
