I have a 2 year golden retreiver, who has been showing alot of aggression. It started off a year ago when he growled at some kid while we were out for a walk. That seemed to be it for a few months till he started growling at other dogs while we were on our walks. Then a few months ago he bit me stepson in the face. My stepson had been bugging him while he was eating so we didn't really think anything more of. Now it seems he growls at every kid and dog that comes near him while we are walking. Alothough he doesn't do it while he is running off his leash.
The strange thing is though, that before all this happened, he was great with kids and other dogs on and off the leash. My husband wants to get rid of him, for fear he may bite again. I love the dog and want to keep him, but don't know what i can do to change his behavoir before it is too late. Any advice would be helpful.
