Tooth wear?
Posted to:
Health & Grooming
My dog recently adopted another dog that showed up at my house. I've kept him for a week hoping to find his owner but yesterday noticed that he is missing most of his teeth. The canines (fangs) are slightly worn down but still there, and most of his other teeth are completely worn down. He does not...

As most of you are probably aware, basenjis do not bark. They aren't known for being silent though, there's a host of sounds they can make, most prominent among them being the yodel or baroo. Well my 2 basenjis never seemed to think much of yodeling, I had never heard a single yodel from either...

Dalmation - oh, that hair!
Posted to:
Health & Grooming
Ok, so my husband and I adopted a rescue Dalmation / Whippit cross named Maiya. She has very short hair w/ no undercoat. I have 2 questions: First, she and my other dog, Kenya were spayed about the same time several months ago and when they were spayed, their bellies were shaved. Kenya's fur...

I have been on the waiting list for fostering for the Orlando Pug Rescue and Adoption for awhile now. Before I was supposed to foster a 2 year old pug but the owner never showed up to drop him off. Well the person who runs OPRA called me today and said that a woman found one roaming the street outside...

Hi! My husband and I adopted a Golden Retriever named Hailey and a Lab Mix named Mocha. We know Mocha's mother was a Chocolate Lab but the father was a mystery. We think she is mixed with boxer. Some people have said she looks like she is mixed with a pit bull. Our Vet said she has the under bite...

My 12 year old cat is losing weight. We think it may be a thyroid problem and have a vet appointment in a couple of days. Is there anything I can do to get some weight on to her? I'm worried about her.

Intercepter vs. Heartgaurd
Posted to:

I used to have Joey on Heartgaurd, but when I switched to new vet, she put him on interceptor. The new vets office didn't sell Heartgaurd. I asked why? I wanted to know if there is something bad about Heartgaurd, but I didn't get an answer, just "that's what we recommend." So...
