    Boxador

      Hi!

My husband and I adopted a Golden Retriever named Hailey and a Lab Mix named Mocha. We know Mocha's mother was a Chocolate Lab but the father was a mystery. We think she is mixed with boxer. Some people have said she looks like she is mixed with a pit bull. Our Vet said she has the under bite of a boxer and she does not have a wide jaw of a pit bull. Also, when she plays she uses her paws for everything! She even chases bugs like a cat. I did not know much about boxers and always thought they got their name from their box like face. I did not know they got their name from how they "box" with their paws. Mocha also wiggles her back end like a boxer when she is excited. I just wanted to get people's opinions or talk about characteristics of a boxador. I will also try to upload some more pictures later today or tomorrow.

      Thanks! [:)]

My sister has a dog that is (we think) a lab/pit bull mix and she looks a lot like your dog does.  She was from a shelter though so no way to be sure what she's a mix of!

The second picture I can see some Boxer, but I also could see Pit. Whatever she is she is a CUTIE!! [:)] The first pic is adorable!!

Thanks! Yours is really cute too!! I have read where Boxadors are sometime thought to be pit bull mixes. I don't know, whatever she is we love her and her sister Hailey (the Golden) to pieces! She might look some like she is mixed with pitt bull but I lean more towards the boxer just because all of the "cute" stuff she does, such as how she "boxes" her sister whenever she plays, and wiggles her back end when she is excited is what people have told me to be typical of boxers. Also, all of her siblings did the same so it was not just a Mocha thing. Here are some more pictures! :) One is of Hailey and Mocha in the pool (they love water) and the 2nd is Mocha caught in the act of destroying a piece of paper. Enjoy! [:)] Also, in the 2nd picture one of her ears are up. Whenever she gets excited or attentive her ears go "up" and the floppy part flips over. It is so funny when both ears are up!

    awww.
Boxers are known to chase bugs.  That is one of the known personality quirks with boxers.  And she boxes with her paws?  I would think ;part boxer then.
I see boxer in her muzzle area, but I'm not an expert.

She looks like she's got a Boxer face.  I don't see any pit in her.  She's just precious though!
