Maybe another dog??

• Maybe another dog?? jennifer cherry Posted : 7/19/2006 6:36:37 PM I am looking to get a baby brother or sister for my 1 year 3 month old baby.  He is a mutt and a hyper one at that. He is about 60 lbs.  I am curious as to what age I should look to as well as gender.. Any ideas? • Terri Posted : 7/20/2006 9:36:17 AM We adopted Odin (who was 1-1 1/2 yrs) just after Loki's 1st birthday. They are both neutered males and have had a couple of "territorial" issues, but are great friends now. I'd say either gender would be fine, if they are both fixed.   The most important thing is to match personality types. You don't want to get a calm dog who hates to play for your energetic pup. I'd say look for  a dog around the same age who has a good amount of energy.
