Announcing.......
Posted to:
News & Entertainment
In this corner we have a grey furry ball of adorable cuteness. Do not let his innocent eyes, X-L dopey ears, or tiny size sway you. He will cling like a ball of Static!! once he attaches himself to your shirt, pants, etc... Here is Static. The kitten the neighbor dropped off yesterday.

Xerxes the barker; update
Posted to:
News & Entertainment
I finally figured out the "why" as far as Xerxes barking. He's got a mild case of SA. He used to deal with this by chewing up my blankets (I have surgically precise incisions in two of them.) I began putting them away during the day: that's when the barking started. So the solution...

poor little things, what to do?
Posted to:
News & Entertainment
I feel so sad for my next door neighbors dogs. I have only seen them once or twice out of there outside kennel. I asked if i could see them (the pen is soiled with crap and it smells terrible). I could hardly bare to look at them, their eyes shimmering with innocence, like they were asking me to take...

Animal Shelter Volunteers
Posted to:
News & Entertainment
Does anyone volunteer at an animal shelter? I want to, but I'm scared that I'm not going to be able to handle seeing abused dogs brought in, or I wont be able to let a dog be put down, or I'm just going to bring them all home! I was just wondering what it was like for the most part. I really...

fish food and fish oil???
Posted to:
Nutrition & Exercise
OK - dumb question. For those of you that feed a fish based food (I'm looking at the EP anchovy, sardine etc formula for one of my dogs) do you also supplement with fish oil?? If you do, do you also make any adjustments?

Aggression towards children, bicycles, and cats
Posted to:
Training & Behavior
Hello, I hope some of you can give us some advice on our problem. To start off, we adopted Shadow from a local shelter almost a year ago. Unfortunately, the shelter did not know the history of Shadow as he was transferred from the Philadelphia shelter. He is a mix between a Spaniel and a Border Collie...

Strauss and the Whipper Snappers
Posted to:
News & Entertainment
So Strauss and I took one of our many trips to Petsmart today, and the place was packed with people. There was a little girl, perhaps nomore than 2 years old (she was a TINY little thing!) and she was pulling at her dad's pant leg going "Puppy! Puppy!" ...the "puppy" in question...

Bad Neighbors
Posted to:
News & Entertainment
We have some neighbors down the street that moved in around June. Since this time, they have oozed over the entire street. They park junk cars up and down the street, they have trashed their yard which eventually blows down to ours and worse of all they now have 3 families living in their house. Okay...

Cairo shows some personality
Posted to:
News & Entertainment
Finally! This dog is so hard to get personality shots of because he loathes the camera. It's such a shame because he is the master of making uber cute faces. But finally I've managed to snap a couple that actually show a wee bit of his true personality shining through. Pretty much the only way...

best skin/coat supplement?

. Ok, I confess, I tried a different food with poultry fat, so I'm guilty, since he obviously is allergic/sensitive to chicken/poultry. [sm=blush.gif] He hasn't started any itching/scratching but his hair has started falling out again. I'm going back to the solid gold/nutro nat. choice canned...
