OK, so I have tried the "tea concoction" on Jimmy James' feet and it really does seem to help reduce the redness. Some days his feet are far worse than others (I think he has a lot of environmental allergies besides grass but haven't figured out which ones and it not as though we can...

Does anyone here use natural flea repellants? Do you have any suggestions? I have heard that citrus sprays can help if used diligently. Is this true? Thank you. --Sara

Puppy dominates

Our 6 month old puppy thinks she needs all the attention. Everytime we play with our other 2 dogs, she's rude and has to be the center of attention. Even when I'm on the phone, Spunkie barks and twangs to go outside-just like a child. Of course, I know she is just trying to get my attention and...

Pork bones?
Posted to:
Nutrition & Exercise
Hi all! I went to the store today, to pick up some of Penny's favorite bones, beef necks. Well, the beef necks they had there looked gross, so I didn't get any. Instead I got some pork brisket bones they had on sale. Are these any good? They seem to be pretty meaty and it looks like they have...

A little background: The orginal owners bought her at 8 weeks old. They had 4 young kids and left her outside or penned in the laundry room a lot. My Mom adopted her at 4 months. She was a real terror, but my mom did training school w/ her and she showed some improvement. My mom was home w/ her...

A Dogs Prayer

Maybe most of you may have read this before, but I never had until Tuesday. I had taken the paper with me out on the gambling boat. We have to go 9.2 miles out before we can gamble and it takes about 45 minutes. So i will take the day's paper and read it and work crossword puzzle during that time. Well...

Princess update...

Not sure if many will remember, but a few months ago I took Princess into my home from the Shasta County animal control. She was raised by children and had no manners. I spent a couple months on some basic obedience, and just loving her. My fiance and I decided that we still wanted a German Shepherd...

I am listening to the radio right now and they are doing a segment on some study that has *apparently* proven that cows from different regional areas moo with regional accents. Puppy Class!!!!! (Thought that line would get your attention. [ ]) If people don't know how to handle puppy nipping, housetraining, fearfulness, how to walk on a leash, how to get the dog to come when called, then why are they asking those questions here, or on any other forum, rather than going...

Frivolous doggy spending

I have a problem. I like to blow money on useless things for my dogs. Any excuse will do! Next month is Teenie's Gotcha Day, so I've ordered her a fabulous, impractical, bling bling, rhinestone lettered harness and leash. I feel kind of bad, because I could use that money for something else....
