WE have cluster box down at the end of the street. About 6-7 ,months ago i was down getting mail and walking Buck and next door neighbor pulled up and started petting Buck on the head and said something like "You really liked the bones didn't you?" I asked what bones and she said they had barb-qued over the weekend and her hubby had tossed the rib bones (cooked) over the fence to Buck. I almost came unglued. I told her none of our dogs could have bones and only special treats and Buck was on diet for Thyroid (not quite true, but close) and the girls were on weight control diets (true). All I could think of was that lab puppy that died of peritonitis after pork chop bone punctured his tummy.
When I told hubby about it he went next door and told them that our dogs were not allowed bones and to please never throw any bones or other food over the fence as we monitored what they ate. Some people just do not think.
