Window ideas??

As much as I would love to put glass brick in a few of my windows, I really don't want to spend the money or deal with the installation. Has anyone ever used glass tile coverings? [link http://www.windecor.com]www.windecor.com[/link] for an example of what I am talking about. Anyone have any other...

Advice re: boarding/kenneling
Posted to: News & Entertainment
I could use some decision-making help here. On the 8th of September I have my first appointment with my new specialist, who is in London. We won't be gone overnight and there are a couple of options for Ben's care during the day. 1) My SO will take me, and my father will come over and look...

Poop talk
Posted to: News & Entertainment
Was wondering if anyone out there has the same experience with their dog. When Boomer does his business he does it on an instalment plan. Meaning he'll stop 2, 3 and sometimes 4 times to poop. His first poop and and 2nd poop is good (firm, dark). But his 3rd and 4th is usually soft and light colour...

Prozac for Dogs

I have a male Maltese who is almost 5 years old. For the past two years, we have been battling a problem with paw licking and chewing. Last summer, Snowball mutilated his paws so badly that the vet had to remove two dangling nails from his paws. We changed his food, tried Atopica, over-the-counter allergy...

Dilemna... guests that are afraid of dogs!

My MIL says that she was bitten by a dog when she was 4 and she's afraid of dogs. When she comes over, I think the expectation is that we crate our Sammy or let him outside for the time she is there. I don't like her expectation. I know he's a dog, but he LIVES HERE! This is his house and...

Dog ate gumabone
Posted to: Health & Grooming
How could I be so stupid? I had given the puppy a small nylabone (gumabone- softish plastic) to chew. Well, Red (60 pound golden) snuck up on the bed and ate it while I was sleeping. I woke to hear him crunching and I grebbed a piece out of his mouth and another on the bed,,they were about 1” or less...

heartworm question
Posted to: News & Entertainment
My dog missed about three or so months of heartworm meds. The vet told me that missing 3-4 months isn't a big deal and since my dog wasn't exhibiting symptoms of heartworm that there was no need for testing. He told me to just resume giving Heartgard. Can I really skip testing? Just want to know...
