New Food = Constipated
My dog has always had a weak stomach which resulted in diarhea so I always had to slowly transition his food over 7 days. He was previously on Canidae and then Canine Caviar. However, we ran out of food and the local pet shop did not have Canine Caviar so we got Nature's Variety Instinct and transitioned...

Thinking of switching to *gulp* raw...
So, raw is one of those things I'd always dismissed as being a) expensive and b) inconvenient. The first is a weak argument considering what I pay for Orijen, but I hadn't ever researched what raw would cost me. The second is blown out of the water by the human-grade raw food supplier who provides...

Tiny kibble size?
Anyone know of a kibble with tiny pieces? Ginger has megaesophagus, thus she usually only eats canned food, mixed with water. However, she's a horrible cat food stealer. The cats eat TOTW, which has tiny pieces. She seems to eat this well, with no regurgitation. (she is not supposed to eat it, mind...

Grocery store items
Those of you that feed raw or home-cooked, what do you get at your local grocery store? I'm starting to add in more fresh toppings to the dogs' meals, but I'm not entirely sure where to start, especially with what kind of meats/bones are OK. I'm also trying to convince my SO that feeding...

Food change = Body change?
I have 3 Border Collie females, ages 4,3 and almost 2. I was feeding Canidae until the formula change then switched to Evo. They have been on Evo for about 4 months now. I haven't noticed much change in Kya's (youngest) body but Zoe and Ari, the two older dogs, I have. None of them is loosing...

Meat/meat-meal
Just wanted to tell you guys this. We have talked the meat vs meat meal over and over again....and I am convinced that meatmeal ( SPECIFIC meat...not just meat ) is a lot better as meat is almost 80% water. So I was talking to a Bil Jac guy yesterday for quite a while. I was questioning "cereal...

prescription dog food
What do you all think of this food? It's Hill's prescription canned food for dogs, z/d ultra allergen. My dog has many food allergies. He's a 4 year old cocker spaniel who gets lots of irritation in his ears and bites and scratches. He has been on this food for maybe 2 years. I'm concerned...

What are the requirements to get a CGC title? Does the dog have to be purebreed? Is there a certain age?

Freshpet dog food
Yes, Freshpet food tastes great since it is made with fresh meat and is less processed than dry or canned foods. The average dry food has anywhere from 5-15% real meat. Freshpet foods contain anywhere from 70-75% real meat. Lastly, oil and fats, which dogs need for health and great taste, occur naturally...
