    Homemade Treats

Here's my homemade treat recipe I cook for my girls.  It makes a really big batch.  Really fast and easy to put together & cook.

    LIVER & OAT TREATS

Puree in blender or food processor until smooth Ick! and pour into large bowl:

1 lb. liver (chicken, beef or pork)
    2 eggs

    ADD: 1 c. flour & 3 c. oats.

Mix well until all dry ingredients are moistened with the liver/egg.  Spread onto greased 13x15 cake roll pan.
Bake at 350º for 12-13 minutes.  Allow to cool almost completely.
Cut into small bites with a knife.  They're inclined to stick to the pan a bit, so use metal spatula to slide underneath
to successfully remove from pan.  I freeze them in a gallon Zip-Loc bag and just defrost
a handful or so at a time in a smaller Zip-Loc. These should always be refrigerated.

The dogs just LOVE these!  Big Smile

I think your recipe is a pretty good one. Since I keep my kennel as wheat free as possible, I would substitute Instant Mashed Potatoe flakes for the flour. Might have to up it about 1/2 cup.  I also add supplements to the treats .  Mine love baking day, we do a huge mutliple recipe bake off and then like you transfer everything to gallon sized ziplock bags after they are cut and then frozen on the cookie sheet. Less sticking together of treats that way.
