- What I want you to know about me

I'm a rescue. Animal Control picked me up on the streets of Mt. Pleasant, TX (near Texarkana). I was only 5 mos. old! I'm people friendly but growl and bark at other dogs & cats because They were always fighting me for my lizards & bugs and scraps of food. I got soooooo hungry & bony. But now I have two humans that love me & spoil me rotten. I don't understand what toys are for, but Mommy's trying to teach me!
- Where I live

We live in Temple, TX and have a big back yard that's fenced. I have a crate and love my crate. I never had one before, ya see. It's my haven and it's my bed at nighttime.
- Here's what happened when I first met my family

At first I was apprehensive about Button but VERY friendly with my new Mommy & Daddy. I got used to Button in about a week or two. Now we're the best of pals except for the occasional alpha squabble.
- Things I like

I don't understand what toys are for because I never had any before I came to live here. I do love to play with your fingers & hands, though. And I like to gnaw on nylabones and chase Button at full speed in the back yard. Our track is called the Rattie 500!

- My favorite food

I will eat anything really. I eat Diamond Lamb & Rice Formula. Soooo much better than bugs. I especially like dinner when Mom adds a few tidbits of chicken or chicken broth.
- My favorite toy

I love my new Kong Wubba toy. It's the first toy I've been willing to play with, despite mommy's best efforts to teach me what toys are. I go ballistic when someone squeaks it, but haven't figured out how to squeak it myself. Sigh. I also like Nylabones and playing with wiggly fingers (I nibble them)!
- My favorite walk

I like to walk around the neighborhood but don't like when we encounter other dogs or cats. That's the "rescue baggage" I came with.
- The tricks I do best

So far I only know Sit and sort of know Down. Mommy is continuing to work with me on Down and is beginning to teach me Shake, but I haven't mastered those yet. I got lots to learn! But I can High Five you!
