I retired Maze last season after completing her novice rally O title since I could see that she really didn't enjoy the atmosphere.. So I turned my training focus on to Sandy and Dodger for now while waiting for some tracking classes to open up for Maze. I didn't stop working her, I just didn't...

Training the Supervised Separation for CGC
Posted to:
Nutrition & Exercise
I need some tips on how to train for this. Luke and I did the CGC yesterday, and he would have passed if not for this section. I sort of knew going into it that if he was going to fail, this was probably it . I couldn't have asked for better performance on the rest of it. He did everything beautifully...

Is a puppy a good idea?
Posted to:
Training & Behavior
I've been considering getting a puppy for a while, but want to make sure I'm ready for all that entails before I take the final step. I live in a condo with my elementary school aged daughter, no backyard, but easy outside access. I leave for work before sun up and get home around 2 in the afternoon...

Chronic Paw Pad Injury?

Stepping out of lurk mode for this. I’ve tried searching but can’t find much. Sorry this post is so long, but I’m really at my wits end with this and I need some fresh opinions, suggestions, advice, anything really. One of my dogs, Maya, seems to chronically tear up her paw pads. Every...

Home remedies for cracked/sore paw pad?
Posted to:
Health & Grooming
Ruby has been licking and nibbling at one of her back paws. When she finally sat still long enough for us to get a look at it, we saw a very raw spot between her "main" pad and one of her "toe pads." It was hard to get an up-close look, but there doesn't seem to be anything...

So I got a wild hair this weekend and painted the kitchen. It's not really the color I wanted but it's done. Charles is doing ok. He had his second chemo treatment Friday.

Asking for some help to identify dog breed

I'm interested in knowing what my dog is mixed with if anyone can help! His mother is a white pure breed Siberian husky, and her parents are black/white and white huskies (if that's any importance). His siblings were a cream color, with one of them being white like the mother and another being...

I hope everyone had a good Thanksgiving. I painted my living room and did not do any shopping. Looks like we've all been too busy catching up on work from the 4-day weekend to chat. Doug, nice to see the update about Junior. They grow so fast. I hope your temperatures are back above zero! TTFN

Derby is a vivacious young dog. His spirit and energy is unmatched. The only thing that was getting in Derby's way of running as freely as he feels on the inside was the under development of his front legs. Now with the help of 3D printing Derby has a brand new set of legs made just for him! Watch...

GET OFF!!!!!!

My 3 year old Yellow Lab always jumps on people. She will not jump if someone has treats but once the treats run out, off she goes, jumping up and being a pest. It has gotten so extreme that she almost took down my 87 year old grandmother while trying to get out of the car and wouldn't leave my aunt...
